Cozy spot for vegan matcha cocktails - Edit
Very small and cozy bar with only a few seats, which gives it a nice, intimate atmosphere. The menu is limited but interesting, with a small selection of vegan matcha cocktails made with vegan cream. We tried the Cream Matcha and Oolong Matcha, both nicely balanced.
Read moreUnfortunately, the Matcha Bingsu wasn’t available when we visited, as it’s part of the seasonal menu, something to keep in mind if you’re coming specifically for that.
Cocktail tomatoes were served on the side. The bartender spoke English.
Payment note: Card payment is preferred. If paying cash, you need to have the exact amount, as they can’t give change.
Overall, a charming little place for anyone curious about vegan matcha drinks and a relaxed bar vibe.

Appealing negroni - Edit
So it turns out this is not a full vegan late night bar, but they have vegan options. At first, they offered some chocolate cookies which upon trying them - turned out they weren’t plant-based.

For such a simple drink as Negroni, many bartenders fail. But I really admired the one I had here. The pisco drink I had was also good.

Great experience - Edit
Super friendly staff! We had an amazing night, the staff was very nice and gave us a lot of recommendations on where to eat vegan food and where to go around in Seoul.

Not Foreigner Friendly - Edit
I feel bad for leaving a negative review that isn’t about the food or drinks, but wanted to let other travelers know we had an odd experience. The bar is quite small and dark, was about ½ full when we arrived, and we were told it was packed and the staff pointed to the door in a very urgent way, like we couldn’t leave fast enough. Curiously the group walking up the stairs behind us got seated fine.

Cool little place - Edit
When I went it was a K-pop party night! They had a special menu of 8000won cocktails. The staff were friendly and spoke good English. Everyone else was singing and dancing the music which was fun to experience and just chill with my drink (pandam, whisky, and tea).

Best drinks ever - Edit
These were the best drinks I’ve ever had. The bartenders were super nice too. I would definitely become a regular if I wasn’t living on a students budget 🥹

Vegan- and LGBTQ-friendly bar - Edit
This is a small but cosy bar in Yeonnam-dong, which calls itself "vegan friendly" and open to everyone, including the LGBTQ community.
Read moreThe regular menu includes mostly whisk(e)ys, rum and tequila. Apart from that, the bartender can make cocktails on request (contact them in advance if you need a special drink).
Vegan cookies or crackers are served as complimentary snacks.
In fact, they try to use mostly plant-based ingredients and develop vegan drink specials that change quickly. (E.g. last week featured drinks with vegan sesame cream. This week, only a vegan hot chocolate with rum was available. The hot chocolate was very flavorful and amazingly thick - better than regular hot chocolate at most coffee shops!)
Though prices seem a bit high, they also use pricey ingredients.
The bar is located on the second floor. It consists basically of one room with only 8 bar stools facing the counter. There are no windows, so the atmosphere is dark yet warm.
Pros: Good drinks
Cons: Bit pricey

Truly excellent vegan bar - Edit
The specials here change regularly so there’s always something new to try. The weekend we were there Howl in the Bar were running an Alpro special, using their cream to make a Howl’s Irish Cream and a Pirate’s Breakfast. Both were excellent and some of the best cocktails I’ve had - let alone vegan. Both were super creamy which is rare to find vegan - I’ve missed having that option!
Read moreWe also tried a Mojito which was great too.
This place is tiny, less than 10 seats so go early if you can.
