I’m a single scoop gal, but not today. We had Vietnamese Coffee with Banana and my partner had Coffee and Reece’s (Peanut Butter). On a summers day, it was cold and welcoming (and not sorbet)!

I think about this place all the time! A cute small place with a few rotating flavors, it’s always exciting to see what they have. Their Thai tea ice cream blew me away🖤

The best 🍨 - Edit
Small cute ice cream shop. Lots of flavors! You can tell everything is so original and made in house. Non-vegans would probably never know it’s all vegan. But as a vegan, this is some of the best ice cream ever.

AMAZING - Edit
A must have for ice cream hands down. I read a couple questionable reviews but they were so wrong. I got the “banana boy” flavor milkshake and added strawberry syrup and whip cream. My friend got a taro milkshake and added crumble with whip cream. The shakes were absolutely amazing and the prices are cheap.

TARO ICE CREAM - Edit
Seriously my favorite ice cream now. Tried the pumpkin, matcha and taro flavors and they were all great. I got a taro shake with matcha and shortbread crumble and it was seriously the best ever. Added a warmed up brownie and I’m over the moon! The person who helped us was super sweet and patient with us when we were trying to pick flavors. 10/10 would go again and will!

Had the Mangolada because I was only in town for the day and you never see stuff like that in other states. It really hit the spot! But everything on the menu looked so good

Delicious milkshakes - Edit
Hubby and I finally made it down to Hug Life in LB and they did not disappoint! It was really hard to choose between getting an ice cream 🍦 or milkshake, but in the end we both got milkshakes. They were so good and decadent. Husband got Retwik with oatmilk and I ordered the Smores with oatmilk. Instant favorites! Definitely will be coming back for icecream and more shakes!

This place has awesome shakes! I’ve tried the Sickerz Bar, and the Retwix. Both are amazing. Also I’ve had the ice cream- Green Goblin (green mint) which is great and one of their popular flavors.

!!! - Edit
I remember taste testing a while ago and having a different impression. I'm so glad I came back, it's funny because the guy said if I didn't want as much ice cream, I could put my two flavors into one scoop ("half n half"). But what I got is massive and is definitely like a double..

what's not to like about dairy-free ice cream? plenty of flavors to choose from. All the flavors I've had are made from soy/coconut milks.

Finally, REAL vegan ice cream! - Edit
Approx 15 flavors, all coconut-soy/almond based. I seriously hate coconut flavor and I couldn't feel it at all. There was one flavor with an actual coconut taste and they warned me ahead. Both my husband and I really loved it, would definitely come back!

Amazing, delicious. Some of the best ice cream, period. - Edit
Some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had, vegan or not. Being all your friends and family, vegan and non-vegan, and see how good ice cream can be with no stolen baby cow food involved.

This place is amazing. The flavors are so authentic and the vibe is cheery. It’s really cool to have an all vegan and all delicious place to go. I LOVE that it’s open really late so we can do date night, run down there for an 11pm ice cream. Plus toppings.

Totally worth it - Edit
There was a constant stream of people in and out, my girlfriend got the milkless ice cream which comes with ground up Captain crunch cereal dust over the top and I got my Reese's peanut butter fix. Super friendly staff and just a cute little place with a cute little name. I can't wait to come back.

The Best! - Edit
After going to the first two So Cal locations of Hug Life our prayers were answered when we found out their third location would be in Long Beach. It is a very welcomed addition to the thriving vegan scene in LBC. The shop is super small, so unfortunately there isn't much of a "stay and hang out with us" vibe, but if it's incredible vegan ice cream you want, then Hug Life has you covered!
