When I visited, they had corn ribs with vegan Mayo and cheese, coleslaw and fries. It was a filling option for a decent price for a dinner option. This was the option instead of a burger this time.
Is this the best Impossible burger you are ever going to eat? No. But it is perfectly acceptable theme park fare. Word of warning for folks with kids: the special sauce that comes on it is a bit spicy. If you mobile order, you cannot omit the sauce, so if your little ones are particularly sensitive to spice, either order at the counter or be prepared to wipe it off.
They offer a plant-based cheeseburger made with an Impossible burger, which is designated as plant-based on the menu. It's nothing fancy, but I enjoyed it. I think I would have preferred it if the cheese was a little melted. It's nice to see Disneyland offering at least one plant-based option at many of their restaurants so that you can eat wherever you are and don't have to cross the park to find something vegan. I appreciate that they offer either fries or mandarin oranges for the side with the burger, so you can add something a little healthy to your meal, or not!
There is plenty of seating available at Hungry Bear. Service was quick. Ordering through the Disneyland app was easy and convenient.
Hungry Bear had small, very fake tasting burgers and oranges with more seeds in them than I’ve ever experienced. My burger bun was stale, and everything about it tasted like it came out of a vending machine. They could provide real plant-based burgers (bean, quinoa, etc) vs fake meat.
My mom and I got the plant-based cheese burger. I think it’s a Beyond patty (which I prefer to the Impossible since you can taste a difference). It has vegan cheese, lettuce, and their house-made sauce.
However, the patty wasn’t cooked all the way. Mine was more cooked than my mom’s, so she didn’t really eat hers. The cheese was also not close to warm or soft. The burger needed more for taste. The slaw was better than anything else.
