As of Nov. 2024, the only vegan restaurant in this ancient town. Run by a small family. Offers a plate of 20 dumplings which can be divided into four different fillings if wanted. Fillings may include radish, fennel, celery, and mushrooms. Also serves stir fried greens (one was a regional lake plant flower & the other were some bean tops). Good portion sizes. All are recommended. Open Mon-Sun 9:00am-8:00pm.

Also called Cuncaoxin Vegetarian 寸草心素食

I loved everything about it. When you enter, you sit and order via a qr code, great for language barriers. The food was hot, delicious and so fresh. I loved all the dishes I ordered: hot plate tofu, cabbage dumplings and wheat noodles with tomato soup. The man and woman working the kitchen are adorably friendly and helpful.
Everything is vegan and they also offer small grocery in the front of dried and canned goods.

Pros: Easy to order, Delicious, All vegan

Very tasty

They have fake meats, nice veggies, self made kimchi, reasonable prices. Went there twice and would go again :)
1 person speaks decent english.

It seems they have rooms to stay as well

Soothing Good food at Shuhe Old Town, Lijiang.

Chinese food. Spoilt for choice. Tasty northern China style food. All food are great! Tried their ‘Zhuang mian’ with different soup base. Their local green veges ‘shui xing yang hua’ is a must try! Yummy dumplings and cheap & simple veges baos.
Comfy homely vibes and friendly boss and employee. Came here for of the meals, super relieved and delighted to find this family restaurant. A must try!

Vegetarian in sushe ancient town lijiang

Nice vegetarian restaurant, good portion, good service, authentic & pretty decent food.
The aunty & uncle run this restaurant by themselves. So, it takes more time to cook the food. But it is worth the wait

Pros: Dumplings, Cumin fried mushrooms

Great restaurant- traditional Chinese, but vegan food

Great restaurant. Very cheap. Tea kept being refilled and the variety was endless. I went for something basic but there were loads of fake meat options too!

Pros: Clean, Good service , Good options

Lovely vegan family restaurant

The only vegan restaurant in this ancient town, run by a small family. I visited mid August after lunchtime so I was alone in the restaurant. I had their plate of 20 dumplings, and since I didn't know what filling to choose, they offered to split the plate into all four fillings. There were fillings with radish, fennel, celery, and mushrooms. It was so good that I decided to order another plate to bring with me on the road. For the rest, I ordered two plates of stir fried greens, one was a regional lake plant flower, and the other were some bean tops. Both were really good and good portion sizes. Highly recommended!
