This place was amazing. They had the best cookies I’ve ever had (especially the S’mores) and a wonderful menu. Coffee, juice, and food all hit the spot. Plus they have a sweet little dog here.

Absolutely awesome food and lovely staff. My favorites: Hashbrown bagel and açaí bowl. It is hard to make room for both, though, because they are very well served.

Jajajana is a very sweet little café, bakery and brunch-lunch restaurant with tasty treats and a pleasant atmosphere for drinks, eats, and hanging out.
Read moreThe carrot cake is particularly good. The service is cheerful and friendly. Both Spanish and English are spoken, and there are menus in both languages.
Note that (as of July 2023) the kitchen stops taking orders at 2:00pm, after which it remains open just for drinks and baked goods until 3:00.

I had the vegan quesadillas with chorizo. It was so good! So flavorful and delivers all the flavor of Mexican food that I love! The cheese was melty and didn’t taste artificial, the side of beans was perfectly salted, and the chorizo had a wonderful spiciness. The tortillas were delicious as well. #Veganuary

Big peanut butter lover here so I will try anything that has peanuts and this bowl was just insane. Huge! I almost had a hard time finishing it, haha! Peanut butter, peanut butter icecream, peanut butter balls, granola, coconut and dates.

Best vegan breakfast we had in Mexico - Edit
Everything was literally perfect. We got iced coconut chai lattes which were tropical, cooling and lovely. Apparently they make their own chai syrup! We also had the crunch bowl and the mollete sourdough. The crunch bowl was everything you'd ever want from a breakfast: full of yummy avocado, fresh cherry tomatoes, salad leaves, some nice and earthy refried beans filling quinoa, spiced vegan chorrizo, and a lovely sauce. The sourdough was perfect as well, with similar ingredients but also with a oaxaca style vegan cheese and a green spicy sauce both of which tasted lovely. Service was nice and the atmosphere chilled in a very minimalistic way. We felt full and happy, didn't have space for any of the tempting desserts available.

We went for breakfast on our first day in Merida and are happy with our decision! We had the strawberry smoothie, a coffee, 2 quesadillas and the molleto. The quesadillas were our fave and the salsa that came with was yummy.
