Upscale, authentic pure vegetarian Indian restaurant with vegan options (including curries). Approximately 30% of the menu can be made vegan, including starters, soups, mains, and curries. Open Mon-Sun 11:30am-11:30pm.
When I dined (8th May ‘22) it was very quiet (7:30pm on a Sunday) so three staff were very attentive - as I was the only diner. The menu states clearly on each and every dish if it can be “vegan-ized”.
I thoroughly recommend the crispy broccoli starter - more akin to a salt and pepper Chinese-style dry dish, it is simply delicious.
As a main dish I tried the Burmese curry and rice, a halfway house between an Indonesian-style coconut curry and a Thai-style green curry. An awesome and tangy dish.
In terms of ambience, the early-2000s generic dance club mix doesn’t add any value - it’s also a short loop, so you “can” enjoy the same tunes again and again. However, the ambience isn’t entirely railroaded by the soundtrack, as the petrol station opposites bright blue and green lights do that instead!
This venue is famous for its Indian vegan curries, which, given the outstanding quality and taste of my south East Asian choices from the menu, would undoubtedly be excellent. The chef takes care and the menu is well designed.
I totally recommend this place to any vegan in Dubai or passing by. Come with friends and make your own vibe. Starter/main/desert will set you back circa 100dhs ($27).
