Good choice for middle eastern! - Edit
I went for dinner at Kebab with my family.
Read moreI was impressed that the sign out front says "vegan & vegetarian options". On the menu, I was pleased to see there is a large section that is vegan by default, including ALL appetizers - much of it is clearly marked gluten free as well.
We ordered the Hummus as an appetizer, it was easily the highlight of the meal - very flavorful, topped with appealing veggies and served with delicious soft pita bread. Then I had the Hot Mezza Plate - the roasted cauliflower, falafel, and fried potatoes were all fresh-tasting and very flavorful.
The only problem was that everything I ordered was drenched in oil. This made it much less appealing and Im sure that so much oil is simply not conducive to good health.
Pros: Tasty food, Clearly marked vegan options, All appetizers are vegan
Cons: Way too much oil

Pretty good - Edit
The first time I went I thought it was amazing....
Read moreAs for the second time, I was confused about my memories and wondering if they changed things up.
Lots of basil garnish was strange to me, I'm unfamiliar with middle eastern food using it as heavily and thought it clashed with the other flavors.

Good vegan options - Edit
Nice lunch buffet which is offered every day. Dolmas, curry chickpeas, grilled pita and veggie stew were very good. The other items were either too sweet or flavorless. The mujadra was sticky rice with lentils, not mujadra. Lentil soup had no lentils, it had chickpeas and no flavor. The owner was very nice. However, the server never asked if we wanted drinks or to order off the menu, didn’t clear the dirty plates and never came to see how we were doing, or even bring the check. I wanted to love this place after badly missing Riyadh that burned down 3 blocks away but the food is not nearly as good.

What About Kabob? - Edit
I ordered the Mojadarra, which includes cooked lentils and rice, caramelized onion, and herbs, topped with fried garbanzo beans and fresh basil. It was sweeter than I prefer. It was served with a small salad that was drenched in tahini. I liked the flavor, but there was way too much.

Pros: vegan section on menu, big portions, décor
Cons: disposable plastic sauce cups
