Absolutely delicious 🤤 - Edit
Service, food and atmosphere is amazing. Vegan options clearly labelled and although not many, really well thought out and delicious. Miso sweet potato and truffle houmous. 10/10 for flavour!!

Nice food - Edit
Spectacular view and good food. Maybe we didn’t understand the menu but there didn’t seem to be any substantial starters so we skipped to main courses. We got the chickpea stew and sweet potato miso with a side of fries. These portions were tiny! We had to eat super slowly just to try and take in the views. We asked for dessert but they only had sorbet so we skipped it. Quite an expensive place, and we left hungry!

Excellent vegan options - Edit
We ate at this restaurant twice during a 10 day trip. Both times we sat on the balcony with a breathtaking view of the sunset. The vegan menu offers ample choice; we started with bread, olives and fava followed by tomato tart and traditional chickpeas. Everything we had was fresh and delicious. They also offer vegan wines. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive. Would recommend to anyone visiting Santorini.

It is on the pricey side, but the food is good and so are the views

Fine dining and catch the sunset - Edit
They have a separate vegan menu that you can ask for and it is high cuisine, fine dining. They also have vegan wines. We got the baba ghanoush and the fava bean hummus and the Tempe ratatouille, the Greek version of course. Service with a smile constantly refilling your water, and of course the view of the caldera !

Fantastic view, great food - Edit
Took a friend for a special dinner to celebrate her 40th. I had mentioned I was vegan in the reservation and they greeted us with a dedicated vegan menu with several options for starters and entrees. Food was all delicious, and my cocktail was excellent. The only disappointment was the vegan dessert option, which was a fruit salad with sorbet - the fruit was just Ok. The premium sunset table on the terrace was worth it for a special occasion.

Underwhelming - Edit
Had the “briam” which was tasty enough but not very filling and quite expensive. Apart from a side this was the only vegan option I could see. View was beautiful of course as was the restaurant/balcony itself.

Disappointed - Edit
Kailya is very beautiful and the food is wonderful, I’m sure, but they have removed all the vegan options listed in the description above. The only three vegan dishes are hummus and bread, a side salad, and briam which is traditionally vegetables cooked in a tomato sauce with herbs and spices. Because they have an elevated concept for their dishes, this briam was not very traditional and not very filling, but very good for the incredibly small portion.

Delightful food and view - Edit
No better place to see the sunset. There weren't the things on the menu that people mentioned, but we're here pre-tourist season so maybe that was why. Either way, the Houmous was delicious (for some reason here, places like to give you loads of Houmous, and not much bread/pita to dip in it), and we had a tomato-ey/aubergine pasta which was delightful. Great cocktails too, and super friendly staff

Overpriced - Edit
We ate here one dinner. I had grilled tempeh as a main and santorinian fava as an appetizer. We had quite high expectations for the evening but from my point of view the food wasn't worth its price. The bread with spread wasn't anything special and costed 15€, the tempeh was very dry and bitter and came quite uninspiringly with fries. I don't know if the other vegan mains taste better but mine was definitely not worth its price and I've eaten much better tempeh dishes before. Probably the worst tasting food during our holiday.
Read moreThe service was nice but as a vegan I would try other restaurants, like 5senses, for a nice dinner experience.

This place had a Jack fruit burger that was delicious. And I had the bowl with tofu that was very good as well. Had nice views of the ocean across the walk as well.

Tasty Vegan Options - Edit
We came the week they were closing for winter and ate here 3 times. The first two times were absolutely delicious with wonderful service. The third time we had very disappointing service. They have a small vegan section on the menu, clearly labelled. The hummus bowl w/ their bread is a must. My favorite was the falafel wrap. But the view is the best part of the Kaliya experience. We'll absolutely be visiting again.

Expensive but nice! - Edit
Nice ambience, friendly staff, very expensive sadly but it is Santorini after all. We had a vegan bowl which had amazing flavours but was a bit small, and a burger with fries that was a good portion and also delicious. Great to see tempeh on the menu. The atmosphere was chic, too pretentious for us normally but a good laugh for our holiday. We came back and also tried the burrito which was delicious and surprisingly came with salad but it didn’t have rice so kind of was a wrap more than a burrito.
