Ein tolles Restaurant für Katzenliebhaber 🫶🙂 - Edit
Der Katzentempel ist ein rein veganes Restaurant/veganes Cafe. Es verfügt über einige tolle, gesunde Gerichte wie z.B. die Rainbow Bowl (mit Rotkohl, Mandeln, Wildreis und einigem Gemüse), Burger und Sandwiches. Morgens kann man dort auch ganz toll frühstücken. Die Auswahl ist nicht riesig- leider ist auch das Essen dementsprechend höherpreisig.
Read moreDer Katzentempel hat einige Tierschutzkatzen aufgenommen, welche frei im Café herumlaufen. Die Miezen haben ihre eigenen, abgetrennten Bereiche, Catwalks und Schlafplätze, wo sie ihre Ruhe haben können.
Alles in allem ein tolles Restaurant. Gerade für Katzenliebhaber eine ganz tolle Idee.

Read moreWe had burger, fries and sandwiches and as dessert we had banana bread, tiramisu and "Dont call it snickers" (the best one imo)
The bread of the sandwich was purrfect: warm, soft in the middle and crispy on the outside!
It was also fun watching the cats walking above you over the planks, groom each other and one even came over for cuddles :D
All in all a pleasant expierence!

Wir hatten Burger, Pommes und Sandwiches und als Nachtisch Bananenbrot, Tiramisu und „Don’t call it snickers“ (meiner Meinung nach das Beste)
Das Brot des Sandwichs war perfekt: warm, innen weich und außen knusprig!
Es hat außerdem Spaß gemacht, den Katzen zuzusehen, wie sie über die Planken liefen, sich gegenseitig putzten und eine kam sogar rüber für Streicheleinheiten :D
Alles in allem eine angenehme Erfahrung!

Es gibt eine ansprechende Speisekarte mit moderner Küche. Das Essen war bisher immer hochwertig und lecker zubereitet, das Personal ist freundlich und als Bonus kann man niedliche Katzen während des Essens beobachten.

100% Vegan. Close to Bremen Hbf - Edit
We chose two bowls ("chili con fritten" and "rainbow bowl"). Both dishes were really tasty. The experience with the "rainbow bowl" was nice, although it had very few beans. The service was good, both waitresses spoke English. Nice atmosphere, with a good infrastructure for the local cats to have fun. Very close to Bremen Hbf.

Legal a experiência com o prato “rainbow bowl”, embora tivesse com poucos feijões. O atendimento foi bom, ambas as atendentes falavam inglês. Ambiente bacana, com uma boa infraestrutura pros gatos do local se divertirem. Bem próximo da estação central de trem de Bremen.

Immer wieder einen Besuch wert - Edit
Waren von dem Restaurant begeistert. Wir kennen nur das aus München und fanden das in Bremen großräumiger. Das Essen war wie immer lecker. Haben uns gefreut nach einem Tagesausflug etwas in Bahnhofsnähe gefunden zu haben. Die Katzen waren ziemlich aktiv und neugierig 😊

Great food and nice place! All vegan options and sustainable choices. The sandwiches are huge so I wouldn’t add fries but salad! Some cats will take a look but can all be sleeping in the afternoon. We were surprised how clean it was, well done!

Für Menschen im Rollstuhl geeignet - Edit
War lecker! So wie man's kennt vom Katzentempel. Ich möchte insbesondere darauf aufmerksam machen, dass es eine Rampe für die eine zu überwindende Stufe auf Anfrage gibt. Allerdings gibt es keine Klingel o. ä., sodass die Person im Rollstuhl Glück hatte, dass andere Menschen drinnen Bescheid sagen könnten. Drinnen gibt es zwei Ebenen, die obere ist mit dem Rollstuhl wegen der Treppe nicht befahrbar. Jedoch gibt es unten eine geeignete Toilette (nicht beschriftet, im Zweifel fragen).

What an oasis of calmness in a very busy city. We went on a Tuesday afternoon and had a wonderful time. Very friendly staff, incredibly tasty foods and drinks, and the cutest cats.

The food was incredibly delicious. We got both a burger (with fries!) and a bowl, and both meals were very filling, beautifully presented, and incredibly flavourful.

I'm more of a dog person myself but I still enjoyed this place. The food was pretty basic but well executed, the fries were thin, crispy and salty - amazing! Lots of cats (strays) strolling around - all of them different looks and personalities, but all very well behaved.

This is the third Katzentempel restaurant I have visited in Germany. All are at the same level. Friendly staff, fast service and good food.
Read moreOne difference from the other restaurants I have visited is that the ceiling is very high in this room. There are paintings and other objects on the walls, but that doesn't seem to be enough as sounds of guests' conversations from other tables and various sounds from the kitchen bounce around. There is music playing in the background, but it is drowned out by all the other sounds.

Die Katzen waren alle eher zurückhaltend, aber sehr süß und das Essen war super lecker! Besonders das Frühstück ist zu empfehlen (: Die MitarbeiterInnen waren alle sehr lieb und falls man seinen Teller nicht schafft, kann man auch in kleinen Boxen die Reste mitnehmen. Preislich auch sehr gut.

We loved the Katzentempel in Hamburg, so we were full of joy when a branch opened in Bremen, which is much closer to where we live. Unfortunately, we were disappointed by this one.
Read moreMy husband had the Happy Piggy Burger and I had the Ca(t)prese Sandwich from the seasonal menu. I did not really feel like having a summer sandwich in the middle of October, and it was weird that the autumnal seasonal menu wasn‘t there, but there were only a few dishes without fake meat so I chose this sandwich. The menu relies heavily on Beyond Meat and Planted products, which is fine if you like those, but I do not enjoy fake meat.
My sandwich was very oily and greasy and the bread was totally cold, so I could only eat one quarter of it. My husband tried it and also wasn‘t able to eat it. His burger was a bit better, but also cold and too greasy. The salads were quite boring and drenched in dressing.
The restaurant was packed and the staff did their best and were friendly as well, but still, the waiting times were long and it was all a bit chaotic.
Apart from that, we still love the idea and the ethics of this place. Although it was crowded, the atmosphere was lovely because everyone was so happy about being around the cats. We saw five in total, including one that slept on a chair close to us for the whole time of our stay.
We will probably try again, but then we will try to go off peak time and rather have cake or dessert. But we definitely wish to give it a second chance since we simply loved the food at Katzentempel in Hamburg.
