Read moreThe interior decor is very warm and inviting and the chef is absolutely superb and friendly. He's worked in the field for a very long time and is very friendly to chat to. Speaks English, Japanese Hindi and of course Malayalam.
The food is reasonably priced too

Absolutely an experience to do. Lot of options for vegans and completely different than classic main stream Indian restaurants. The food is simply amazing, lot of delicious options never seen before and the chef is super cool, really interesting to talk with him about India.

Loved the food here, decently priced and a variety of curry’s to choose from. I understand the other reviewing mentioning the lack of authenticity as they use Japanese rice, but the food was pretty tasty!

Lovely vegan meal, quick service from a friendly owner and at a good price. It’s on the second floor up a short flight of stairs if you struggle to find it!
Read moreI had the chapati set which came with rice, bread, dhal, vegetable curry poppadum and pickles! My wife had the dosa set which was also delicious. Would come here again for sure.

Okay- lacks authenticity - Edit
We came here after failing to find any other veggie dinner options- a regular problem on ishigaki! The staff were friendly, the food was reasonably priced and there is an English menu but we were very disappointed by the food. We had a naan set and a chapati set- both with the vegetable curry and Dahl. The only veggies in the vegetable curry were carrot, potato and daikon... and rice was sticky white Japanese rice. Good as a fail safe veggie option but don’t expect authentic Indian food.

Great Indian and lovely owner! - Edit
Had the Naan dinner set of two vegetable curries, a side salad, naan bread and pickles for 1300yen. They also have cheaper lunch time deals. The curries were really tasty and had a nice kick to them. The owner is from Kerala and he is so lovely, he chatted to us about his time in japan and then offered us advice for travel and also for the typhoon that’s predicted during our stay. The decor is nice too, still a very Japanese feel to it.

Nicely decorated Indian restaurant run by a very friendly host (who's actually from India and has been in Ishigaki for five years). Dal curry and vegetable curry are vegan.

Delicious dinner - Edit
This was a lovely place to have dinner. It was quite when we went at 6pm and the owner speaks great English and was able to point out all the vegetarian and vegan options. He uses coconut milk, not animal milk in the curries. Great flavours and great set menus.

I popped in here as the other pure veg indian place was closed due to the owners being on vacation - the presentation was nice & the sole cook/waiter was great to chat with but the food was very lacklustre in taste.
