Pretty full on a weekday evening, but service was quick. It was a bit expensive with the vegan barbecue.

They have some vegetarian and vegan options of some dishes, remember to ask for which one you’d like. I had the vegan japchae and it was really good, the noodles were amazing and the dish was flavourful.

Vegan Korean BBQ - Edit
We had the vegan Korean BBQ for 3 people. It came with lots of fresh veggies, Seitan and Tofu, all in a spicy marinade.

The food was delicious, the serving was pretty big and there were quite a few other vegan options on the menu.
Overall, a great experience.
Pros: Vegan Korean BBQ with huge Servings. , Lots of fresh veggies.
Cons: The Kimchi wasn't Vegan.

The starters and Bibimbap were delicious. I was disappointed that the kimchi wasn’t vegan, other than that my expectations were fulfilled. The staff was very friendly and we didn’t have to wait long for our food. I‘ll come again.

Read moreAfter hesitating to go there initially (price and authenticity), I went there last year in company of visiting Koreans. I had the fried vegan dumplings, which were probably hand-made but I wished they had had more filling inside. The natives, who had ordered non-vegetarian foods, said it was way too salty for them to finish everything. Overall, we were all somewhat disappointed...
The restaurant itself is hip and cool and modern.
They offer a variety of dishes and drinks, which was obviously adapted to fit the local (German) taste.

Good Korean food, but super pricy - Edit
I lived in Korea but never had the chance to try BBQ since there weren’t vegan options. This place has a fully vegan seitan BBQ, but it was very pricy at €16 per person. Also disappointed they didn’t serve free refills of rice and banchan at that price. No free water either!

They try to be vegan friendly by having a couple of clearly labelled options, however we went there for dinner and had the vegan Korean barbecue and got a lot less value than we would have expected for the price. The sides were tiny but we didn‘t leave hungry since the main dish was pretty large, albeit less of a Korean barbecue than I would have hoped for, more like a stirfry with lots of vegetables, rice cakes and the occasional piece of tofu and seitan. I haven‘t tried any other dishes yet. It was delicious, however the atmosphere is horrible in the evenings (as one can imagine, although this could be fixed with a better air conditioning system). The air is filled with smoke and obviously the smell of pork which is very unappetizing. I would consider going there once more at lunchtime when there‘s no barbecue - the staff is very sweet and the restaurant looks very cool, plus the food wasn‘t bad either.

Vegetarian and especially vegan range of dishes is a bit poor. The lunch meal set is cheap, but in the evening prises rise & even the drinks are pricey.

Delicious Bimbimbap - Edit
At Kimchi Princess, vegan items are clearly marked on the menu. There is a great lunch special with bimbimbap, miso soup, and a soft drink (can upgrade to alcoholic beverage for an up charge), all for 10 Euros. Very tasty food, great service, and great atmosphere!

We liked the food (dumplings & glass noodles), but especially enjoyed the atmosphere. This Korean restaurant is clearly inspired by the Asian street food culture. It gets crowded, but that even adds to the concept. Would recommend for a night out with good friends.
