Cozy - Edit
The place is nice and cozy, a hidden gem. Seems to be fully vegan. The food was good, could have used a biit of salt or a spritz of soy sauce.
Read moreBe sure to bring some time though. We were in a bit of a rush to meet our deer friends and it felt a bit too slow for us (which is on us of course, since we didn't bring enough time).

A cozy little vegan restaurant in Nara. Vegetables are home grown so the menu changes with whatever is available. Meals had both Japanese and European items. Portions are served in three sizes - we had large size as we were considerably hungry after a long day of travel and it was extremely filling. Miso soup was the best we’ve had so far. Vegetables were fresh and crisp. Brown rice was delicious! It helped so much that the owner could speak English.

Lovely lunch set - Edit
Absolutely lovely lunch set. Very fresh with beautiful flavours. The vegetables were excellent (the owners family grows them for the cafe). The atmosphere was lovely and even though we don't speak fluent Japanese the owner explained the meal and made us feel very welcome
