Amazing Hungarian food - Edit
We liked this place so much that we went back. This lovely restaurant has traditional Hungarian food as well as burgers. Everything we tried was super tasty and homemade. The goulash was also great. The desserts were also incredible. Very reasonably priced. Between £20-£30 for two people. I’d go back to Budapest just to have the Kremes again!!!

Vegan food at reasonable prices with fair portions. Don’t listen to the small portions reviews, what you get for the price is fab.
Read moreMy biggest critique though is the genera flavour of the food. The menu has some really exciting things to order, which are all really lacking in flavour… especially the cottage cheese style tofu pasta. We ended up dumping all the leftover bbq sauce from the bbq seitan into the pasta to try and get any kind of taste out of it and it still managed to taste like absolutely nothing.
Staff are great and really friendly, wait time for food was not long, would eat here again in a pinch if I needed but there’s just so much amazing vegan food in Budapest that I probably wouldn’t return.

We ordered 3 dishes.
Read more1 - garden salad with tofu - the smoked tofu was marinated in too much soy. The yogurt was liquid and tasteless.
2 - pasta with Cottage - tasteless, very, missing flavor, boring dish.
3 - baked veggies and rice - was nice.
All dishes were in decent portions.
Service was bad we were with only 2 other tables but workers set on a side table and weren't approaching during the time we ate / finished.

We tried the seitan /stew goulash. Generous portion size and tasty, although not stand out flavours. Nice to try something more traditional. The atmosphere and interior wasn’t amazing but the place is cheap and the food came quickly.

Gemütliches kleines Café mit einem familiärem Konzept. Ich fand die 10 kleinen Sticks bei der Dipping Plate sehr enttäuschend. Die Portionen waren ok, aber etwas lieblos gewürzt und der Salat ohne Dressing.

Great evening meal. Started with seasonal soup (broccoli - my fave) and a dipping plate with fries (fabulous chips!). We then had ‘the moon’ burger with sweet potato fries and the quesadilla - both tasty. Best of all was the custard and cream tart 😋

I randomly stumbled across this restaurant on google after finding that the restaurant I was meant to go to was on vacation. The hostess was very kind and attentive, answering any questions I had about the food. I got the bean goulash and the “cottage cheese” pasta, which were both new to me. Both were reminiscent of a home cooked meal, simple, satisfying and yummy.

What a beautiful little place - was really nice to try some traditional Hungarian food from some passionate vegans! Update - went back for more - had the gyros plate which was delicious, if you like gyros you’ll love it! Then had the Napoleon custard pastry which was DELICIOUS! Such thick custard and cream, and perfect soft flaky pastry.

Hidden gem for Hungarian food! - Edit
I'm so glad I visited as this place gave me the chance to try Hungarian cuisine! I tried the goulash and Hungarian pasta. Both were yum! 😋 I like how some dishes have the option of a small or large portion size. They are reasonably priced too.
