Cheap, simple, central - Edit
Located just around the corner from the central street where most minibuses stop, this little outdoor restaurant is ideal for refuelling after the long, winding drive to Pai. All dishes are pretty cheap and, of the four we tried, all pretty tasty too!
Read moreWe did, however, wait quite a long time for our food, all the while being attacked by enormous mosquitoes (which is somewhat unavoidable with outdoor seating like this, but still). My only other complaint is that whilst eating the tea leaf salad, I bit down on something solid that really hurt my tooth. It may have been a piece of ceramic that chipped off the mortar during preparation, but I can’t be sure. Note that opening times are a bit hit and miss and sometimes the place closes for a couple of weeks at a time without notice.
TL;DR The location is great and the food is tasty and cheap… BUT avoid if you’re in a rush, wear mozzie spray, and if you order the salad, chew carefully!

The first 2 times we came, they were closed and the chef wasn’t in. Finally we managed to catch them and I would agree with other reviews that the pumpkin soup is amazing.
Read moreI also liked the mushroom dish and the tofu pumpkin stir fry, though there was a little too much soy sauce in it, rendering it salty. Luckily, I like salty.
They did forget one of our dishes as well, so make sure they read the order back to you and check in if something hasn’t yet arrived to the table.

Happy to find this place as it was not here last time and in the past it has been hard to find an all vegan place open in the evening to sit down at.
Read moreIt is a very basic and rustic place but the quality for the price makes it pretty unbeatable. I got the buffet on both of my visits which is 150 baht for as much as you want. Find things like curries, pad Thai, spring rolls, steamed veggies, brown rice and fresh fruit. Everything was delicious.
They also have an a la carte menu but we just went for the buffet.
They even let my two year old daughter eat for free and tried to refuse the extra I wanted to give them for it. So sweet.

Kwan’s table located next to the temple on walking street was my go-to. Large menu, reasonably priced, and super tasty. They offer lunch and dinner all-you-can-eat buffet for 149 TBH *drinks not included. Buffet options were rice and 3 sides for the mains, a fruit and veggie platter, with spring rolls. Would recommend visiting #Veganuary

We went here twice. One time we had a pad Thai and tea leaf salad and the next night we had a buffet (all you can eat but we just got the one plate) and another dish not in the buffet. Food was excellent. Only problem was that my salad had a big chunk of ceramic in it that I tried to chew on. They were very apologetic/embarrassed by it. #Veganuary

Read moreThe owner was lovely, and the food was served very quickly. I’ve seen previous reviews say the portions are small, however mine was a good size and I’m a decent eater.
Worth mentioning they don’t offer any drinks, but you can get your own drinks from a shop just 2 doors down

We ordered Pad Thai and rice with stir fried tofu, mushrooms and basil. Everything tasted so fresh and flavorful. Can really recommend the Pad Thai. The portions are really small unfortunately.

Only one person working there to take orders and cook food, so it can take some time to get your meal. Everything is made fresh. Limited seating available. Tried the "super pad see ew", which came with dried shiitake mushrooms, giving it a meaty texture. Not the best pad see ew I've eaten but it wasn't bad either. Great that all dishes are vegan.
