Read moreI got the spinach enchilada Christmas style without cheese and it was great. Their red chile is HOT, though, so if you’re not keen on spice then the green chile is your best bet.
This place is super popular so you can expect to wait for a table but the waiting are is comfortable and the wait time was less than estimated.
100% will go here again next time I’m in Santa Fe!

Okay like the previous review, I can handle spice. Like a 4 out of 5 at a Thai restaurant spice. But the red sauce was so spicy I went through 8 glasses of water and could barely finish it. That being said, there’s tons of options here and the food was really good! Also, if you’re coming here, get there right when they open. There was a line 15 groups long when we were leaving at 5:30 on a Tuesday night

I would give a 5 star if i could!! can’t give non veggie restaurant a 5 star here. so not vegan but very sensitive to vegans even their fryer is separate dedicated vegan. according to the server 1/2 the staff is vegan and they know what to recommend. food amazing! staff lovely. great vibe. amazing dinner thank you la choza!! very authentic Mexican/Southwest food ! EAT HERE!!

If you are wanting to try out the Sante Fe Christmas Style sauce (half green, half red) this is the place. We got the veggie enchiladas without cheese to make them vegan.

Great atmosphere inside and on the beautiful patio. Unlike others, we had a short wait and fast service for a Saturday lunch. Veggie tamales Xmas style with beans and veggie posole were delicious. The red chile is less spicy than the green but the food overall has a kick. Was so good I ordered another plate to bring home with me!

I like heat so it really was no problem but I kept thinking that this would have been inedible to my girlfriend who can handle some heat but not this.

Great recommendations from the bartender. Spinach and veggie enchiladas. We had them Christmas style, I would go just red!! The red sauce was awesome!! Nice spice level!! Sopapillas as a side we great.

Had a great meal here while visiting Santa Fe! Many items on the menu can be made vegan and our server was very knowledgeable and helpful. I got the combo platter with a veggie tamale and blue corn burrito, it also comes with pinto beans which are vegan and pozole which you can request vegan. We did have a very long wait so plan ahead. Highly recommend!!

Traditional NM cuisine great for vegetarians - Edit
Family restaurant filled with locals who are regular patrons. Delicious, fresh, traditional food AND lots of vegetarian/vegan items on the menu ( 50% of the menu). They are very educated about vegetarian and vegan diets. Their Pinto beans and rice are vegetarian. 2 types of Pasole soup also vegetarian. Even vegetable Tamales are on the menu. No missing out here for vegetarians because they have everything for us!
