Many vegan options & a terrace in central Murcia - Edit
This place is extra small but has a 12-16 table terrace on a square, a square that is pretty quiet at lunch time. So it's definitely a place for good weather and reservations might be a good idea.
Read moreThere are options of ordering tapas and/or 2 types of menu: the short 12e version (1 tapas + main course) or the one we chose, the "long" 18e (salad, starter, main + dessert), both include still water.
There were enough vegan options to choose from (on the day we went) so the two of us could have different dishes.
The portions are generous, so personally I only managed to eat (part of my) dessert because I did not eat my whole plate of the previous dishes!
The terrace was full, but still the dishes arrived at a reasonable pace, not quick but not slow either. The service was friendly.
If you are with a car, there is a parking 100m away, just across the square, which is really convenient as the location is central and about impossible to street-park.
One drawback: no coffee.

We ate in de afternoon. 3 tapas dishes and 1 main course. All were very delicious. Different flavours. Recommend this place when you are here. Service is good.

Ho mangiato un'infinità di tapas ed erano tutte buonissime. La ensaladilla russa vegana era impressionante per quanto somigliava all'originale. Personale gentilissimo. Mi dispiace non essere riuscita a mangiare il dolce perché ero piena, ci tornerò :)

Most dishes in the menu-of-the day were vegan when I had lunch here. You can have either the full menu (18€, 4 dishes) or half a menu (12€ if I remember well, 2 dishes). I went for the full, which was fairly filling and included a few original dishes with an inspiration in Latin cousine. My overall impression is the full menu was a bit pricey for what you get, though.

Friendly staff spoke only spanish and very short menu online was only spanish. There were no prices on the menu at all but we stayed anyway so one of us chose a starter and a dessert and others main dish and dessert. Food tasted okay, very small portions so maybe it was tapas? I don't know because staff/menu didn't say anything. We paid full menuprice (12€/person) and I have absolutely no idea was it supposed to be 3 course menu but we only ate 2 and staff didn't tell this to us when ordering? It didn't feel okay at all. It was overpriced for 2 small portions.

Excuse me? I think it's always, in every country, the staff in any customer service who should speak minimum of 2 languages. Menu should always be translated min. English. I speak fluently 4 languages and I never expect to get service in Finnish or speak Finnish to my foreign customers in Finland. That would be extremely rude.
Read moreI actually have studied basic Spanish words so I can read menus but it was no help as waiter or menu did not tell us this information. I think it's not customers responsibility to ask things he can't know to ask. As I wrote, menu was in Spanish and we ordered from it even with our food allergies and as cons I wrote customers need to speak Spanish VERY WELL. Basics was not enough and it's impossible to get inside waiters head to know what she isn't telling us.

Excellent vegan options - Edit
Menu online in Spanish so we asked the very friendly waitress to help us. We decided to choose the courses and our waitress brought us the dishes. As long as they're vegan is all we request. Every dish was delicious and satisfying. We paid €37 for 4 courses, two persons with coffee and a bottle of water. Thank you to the staff for being super helpful and very kind especially as we didn't have a reservation.

A few steps from "El Girasol" vegetarian restaurant they opened this new place more focused in hanging out, beverages, spanish tapas and coffee. They have a big terrace and the place is cozy. If you want to eat something fast or just hang out with your friend to chat this is a really nice place. The menu is almost 100% vegan (marked as V) and they also have Gluten free options (marked as SG). / Las chicas de el Girasol Vegetariano han abierto este nuevo sitio más enfocado a tapeo, cañeo y café. Está justo al lado de El Girasol original y tiene una amplia terraza, la mayoría de la carta es vegana y tienen opciones sin gluten.
