Refreshing dessert - Edit

If you’re not quite in the mood for shaved ice or tofu pudding, this shop is a nice Taiwanese dessert alternative. The konjac jelly adds that special chewy texture to mung bean soup that isn’t usually there. (White woodear is not quite the same.) Really affordable and had a steady stream of customers without a line forming on a Saturday afternoon in late December.

They also had a few winter season menu items that I wish I had stomach capacity to try! Longan rice cake congee, black sesame soup, and red beans with glutinous rice balls.

BYO 400+ mL container and reusable spoon to be extra eco-friendly: even when you dine in at one of their outdoor tables, they still give you a paper cup and plastic spoon. There’s even a sink on the sidewalk where you can rinse everything off afterwards, so you have no excuses!

Pros: delicious dessert, pleasing texture, affordable
