Loved it! - Edit
I had a vegan meatball baguette and it was delicious! I also loved the vibe there, there were pretty paintings and great music! I definitely recommend Lakou Cafe(=^ェ^=)

Pretty Okay - Edit
With limited vegan options around me I was super excited to try Lakou, but that’s where my excitement ended. I was not crazy about the vegan plate I had, it was overly salted and tasteless otherwise. My boyfriend got a sandwich that was just okay. Def want to go back since it’s super cute and the menu _sounds_ amazing, maybe it was an off day😄

Amazing black owned restaurant - Edit
So many options. My favorite is the jackfruit chickpea curry sandwich. Also a big fan of their savory pastries and the vegan boulette made from impossible meat. They have a vegan chicken sandwich made from fried oyster mushrooms which is also really good but more for the people who like greasy foods!
