Found a little hidden gem for vegan Chinese food!🥢 - Edit
Lao Ba Cha serves seriously delicious vegan Chinese food. I tried the mushroom noodles and dumplings, and both were sooo good! 🍜🥟 They have plenty of other dishes to choose from, and the prices are quite affordable too.
Read moreThere’s also a lovely tea house called The Chai Bali in the same building. 🍵 You can also enjoy the peaceful tea house and they’ll serve you a cup of tea while waiting for your food. Such a calm and lovely spot. Definitely worth discovering! 🌱🤍

I had a wonderful experience visiting Lao Ba Cha in Ubud. This is one of the Chinese vegan restaurants I highly recommend if you’re visiting Ubud. The food was delicious, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was also warm and comfortable, making the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. Definitely a place worth trying.☺️🥰

Best Vegan Chinese Food in Ubud 🥟 - Edit
I’m so happy I got to try a new dining experience at Lao Ba Cha! I had the chance to taste one of their signature dishes, their dumplings, which are truly 100% plant-based. I also ordered the peanut butter noodles and chicory latte, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

I’ve always enjoyed Chinese food, especially dumplings and noodles, so I was really curious to try a fully vegan version of them. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by how satisfying everything was.

The flavors felt comforting and familiar, but it was interesting to experience them in a completely plant-based version.
What I really liked about this place is that the food doesn’t feel like you’re missing something just because it’s vegan. It’s flavorful, filling, and enjoyable even if you’re simply a fan of Chinese food.
Definitely a nice spot to try if you love dumplings and noodles, whether you’re vegan or not!

Amazing experience at Lao Ba Cha! The mixed dumplings platter was absolutely beautiful and delicious — such a nice variety of colors and fillings, all handmade. Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor, and it's great to have a 100% plant-based spot with such authentic Chinese comfort food. Service was friendly and the place has a really cozy vibe. Will definitely come back to try the baozi and Sichuan noodles next time. Highly recommend!

The Chinese food is ALL VEGAN & melt in your mouth delicious, with tones of flavour from spices! The prices are great & the menu is large. We also met the chef & owner who were so thrilled to welcome us, they gifted us a little desert which was also so perfect. Please go & support as the parking is 1 minute walk away & it’s so stunning to the eye with the tea shop design. Cool aircon & good wifi too!

A lovely vegan spot with thoughtful flavors and a calm atmosphere. I tried their dumplings, chicory latte, and the green noodles. All is comforting. For the chicory is smooth and unique. This was my first time.
