Update from my review below: the food was so good we went back the next day but unfortunately I was disappointed this time. It may have been my fault since I did not ask for no extra oil but I found the dish too oily this time. It is olive oil and many people might not mind it but I do. We will still go back but I did want to adjust my glowing review a tad. Let's see what the third time has for us!!
Read moreThe tofu scramble, or rather it's called vegan egg scramble, was one of the best meals I've had here in Amsterdam. Period . we got it with the optional portobello bacon, and it was large and filling and delicious.
The choice is so often bagels and beans with a bagel and coffee that to have a full breakfast was a real treat. They also have fresh juices and plant-based milk although they do up charge for plant-based milk in your latte which is always annoying.

They only have a few vegan options. We always ask if a drink or dish is vegan. The nice waitress understood as she was a vegan herself. But even then you have to be cautious if you’re a vegan. One of the dishes came with feta cheese, which you can order as an extra. We had to send it back. Very disappointing, we didn’t have enough time to wait for a replacement. They didn’t charge the dish, but didn’t offer a free drink or some other nice gesture.

I had the Japanese bowl, pink cake ('roze koek') and green juice and they were quite tasty. The bowl included wholegrain soba noodles and great veggies. The roze koek was made with chickpea flour and tasted like a roze koek should taste. The green juice contained spinach, sellery, apple and lemon and had a nice sweet taste.

Lavinia is a very cute place, but unfortunately they don‘t have many vegan options. I had the vegan egg salad sandwich, which was 14 € and not very filling. The taste was alright, but nothing really special. Also would have had cakes!

Tasty food what else should you say as a vegan you will be served some very tasty options even of they are not a lot. the ones they have are great. Pricewise i guess as a tourist it is hard to say since prices in berlin are cheaper. So inrather would rate the taste per money and that was fantastic ;)

I love this place even though i do not like their ethics of serving animal flesh it is one of the best places for a vegan and non vegans to eat together if you are okay with that as i know some of you are not.

Went here for breakfast with some work colleagues as it has both vegan and pescetarian options (they serve smoked salmon but I'm not sure if they serve anything else meaty) - I had golden milk made with rice milk which had whole bits of ginger in and the quinoa porridge which was generously portioned and very nice; the omnis I was with had scrambled eggs with avocado and smoked salmon. The cafe itself is quite large and airy so a nice place to sit for a while. Slightly surly service, but maybe it was just one of those mornings.

Had the pizzette with couscous and hummus. It was delicious! But it was expensive as well for the portion size (€13,-). Also ordered the vegan brownie. I only saw afterwards that you can order chocolate drizzle or coconut cream with it. That would have been better, because although the taste was on point, the brownie was very dry and even hard to eat. Would come back for the pizzette though. They also have vegan cheesecake, maybe that is a better option.

We visited Lavinia for lunch one day, and over all it was a wonderful experience. The coffee was fantastic, and the cafe itself is a perfect spot to read a book.

I went here for lunch and had the hummus pizzetta, which was nice but not outstanding. The atmosphere is nice and the interior is cute. They have a few vegan lunch options plus soy and almond milk for coffee. A bit overpriced for what it is, another downside is the slow service.
