Huge, delicious bao - Edit
Grabbed a couple of bao (buns) from this place for a train ride. There are many fillings to choose from, I tried mushroom & bamboo, and pickles (basically pickled greens), both of which were delicious. Most buns are 25NTD, so can be great for a snack, a simple breakfast, or something similar. Not all fillings seem to be vegan (one had cheese), though I did not ask (it’s possible they were using vegan cheese, though I doubt it, given the low price). Labels are all in Chinese, so use the Google camera app for translation.
Read moreI would buy buy these all the time if I lived here. Great to see from other reviews that you can ask them to heat the buns, I will try that the next time.

Dry and too sweet - Edit
Very dry and too sweet filling - didn’t enjoy it
Read moreVery cheap so it’s not a total waste. Many options as well. Maybe come first thing in the morning, but when I came around 2:30 it wasn’t good. 25$ each - which is around 0.8$ US - so super cheap
But the black sesame filling was utterly sweet and bun not airy or light. I asked her if she could heat it up (like other reviews stated), but it wasn’t possible.
Only one vegetarian options- others all vegan
Pros: Cheap , Only one non-vegan
Cons: Very dry , Too Sweet

Good Buns - Edit
Was here in June 2019. Saw this on happycow and stopped by to give it a try. Here's my Liu Jin Vegetarian Buns review. It has a basic set up with a counter display of the variety of buns on offer. We tried a multi-grain bun, a filled sweet sesame one, a pumpkin one. The lady brought out the warm ones from the steamer. Buns were soft and tasty.

Incredible, Delicious an Absolute Must! - Edit
The lady working was so friendly and even had an English translated menu to pick from. All buns have vegetarian fillings and 95% are vegan.
Read moreWe tried a few which were all delicious, but the best by far was the sweet lack sesame fillings, its the stuff dreams are made of.
The buns are so cheap and tasty, I'm glad I don't live here as id be consuming them by the hundreds each day!
Definitely check this place out, also on the same street a little closer to the main road is a lady who sells dumplings filled with spicy tofu (It is the best dumpling I've ever had)!
Pros: Most buns are vegan, English menu, Delicious and cheap

Nothing but vegetarian buns! - Edit
We ordered way too much food here. Everything is in Chinese, and the employees didn't really speak English, so you are mostly own your own. Between educated guesses and a translation app on our phone, we were somewhat able to get what we wanted. The green buns are matcha flavored with a red bean filling. Delicious. I would also highly recommend the ones filled with cabbage and the ones filled with tofu and rice noodles. There are some pictures on the sign of the cabbage and tofu ones, and you can point to those. The ones topped with black sesame seeds were filled with (surprise) sesame paste. They were good but I would recommend going sparingly on the sesame paste. The only ones I didn't like were the ones not filled with anything. The brown buns are brown sugar, but they didn't taste much different than the plain white ones and were not filled. Would have been great dipped in some vegan butter and some cinnamon sugar though. Every bun was perfectly steamed, and the dough has a beautiful crumb. Highly recommended for a cheap meal or a snack.
