Tried the dough balls with vegan chocolate and peanut butter. It was filling and very delicious. What a shame that the apple cinnamon version wasn’t available though😒

I first tried the vegano version and didn't like it.It was just too much chocolate (can't believe I am saying this 😀) but I couldn't taste the balls themselves.I didn't finish it. Next time I went for the plain version with iced suger and it was very nice.A bit simular to churros in taste. That one I liked mich more

Was very busy so maybe he didn't hear us but we were giving the wrong order, after we were brought the vegan version we really enjoyed it and is definitely somewhere ill be visiting again next time were in Athens

I looked forward to trying lukumades and they’re definitely so good! Beware that they’re VERY sweet and rich though! Sharing a portion can be a good idea! If you don’t eat much sugar you’ll probably find them too sweet aswell.

If you like sweet stuff, this place is just right for you! I had the Lukumades filled with vegan chocolate praline and covered with peanut butter. It was really good, but had to share it because it was really a lot.

These were very good! I should have shared a portion though because with the toppings it was quite dense/ filling😅 Reminds me of a small version of the “oliebollen” we have in Holland! The vegan praline filling was nice and nutella-like. The peanut butter topping is very good aswell.

I got loukoumades filled with vegan chocolate praline and they were delicious. They also have a lot of drinks, all of which were good (although my siblings said the strawberry lemonade was pretty sour). I got the peach iced tea and it was great!

I'd never heard of Lukumades until HappyCow. So happy we gave them a try...twice! First, tried just praline-stuffed sprinkled with sugar. Second time, tried praline-stuffed with chocolate & peanut butter sauce. Would've tried with a vegan ice cream but it was COLD out.😄Really neat to watch the donuts being made and the constant flow of customers. They're popular for a reason. One order is more than enough for 2 people so very inexpensive. (I think it was ~5 Euros.) They do have a vegan menu you may request but the vegan options are clearly marked up on their board.

Loved the lukumades, we actually went two times to try different toppings. Their “vegano” combination is absolutely delicious, filled with vegan chocolate praline and topped with peanut butter, almonds and chocolate ice cream. It is a bit pricey because it is very touristy, but it is definitely worth it! One portion (9-10 lukumades) is enough for two people as a snack or sweet treat.

I could eat these all day every day. Had bitter chocolate topping (not really bitter but strong taste) and intrigued to try the vegan chocolate praline filled option next time. Was advised there was a 10 minute wait so was given one of the restaurant buzzing things but only took 5 minutes, piping hot and drowned in sauce. Brilliant!

Lukumedes are traditionally vegan and they even offer a few vegan toppings and vegan ice scream, ask for the vegan (and English) menu). Unfortunately they don’t make any filled vegan ones. But beware, this dessert is really, really heavy, deep fried and veeery sweet.
