Definitely a must-eat if you’re in Kamakura! I’ve had their more basic burgers at food festivals before but this was my first time at the Kamakura restaurant. My friend and I both ordered the Hase burger and it was delicious, albeit a little unwieldy. The sauce was amazing! As were the freshly cooked crisps that came with the burger. I really regretted not ordering the larger portion. Can’t wait to go back next time I’m in the area!

One Man Burger - Edit
One of my favorite things about Japan is the restaurants that are ran by a single person. It seemed to be the case here. I love how much more personalized the experience is. I got a burger here and the onion rings (another reviewer said they were the best they've ever had, and I agree!). Highly recommend you stop by if you're in the area!

Panino molto buono, anche il dolce ci è piaciuto. Personale gentile e posto più economico rispetto ad altri provati. L'unica pecca è che il panino era un po' morbido quindi mangiandolo cadeva il ripieno (ma in giappone li ho trovati spesso così)

So good. I think is one of the best burger places for vegetarians and vegans. So many options which all looked so good. Very difficult to choose. My boyfriend and I picked the one with tomatos and the one with avocado. Supergood. Lowkey wished they had fries though instead of chips. Nice service.

Ich habe den Hase Burger bestellt mit Chips. Der Burger war wirklich sehr lecker und wurde heiß serviert. Als ich zur Theke ging zum bezahlen kam der Schreck. Die Küche war unglaublich dreckig, besonders das Frittierfett sah so aus als wurde es schon sehr sehr lange nicht gewechselt. Das kann man einfach nicht bei einer offenen Küche machen. Hätte ich es vorher gesehen, hätte ich dort nicht gegessen. Schade…

In 2016, I ate what I have long claimed was the best burger I had ever had. Nine years later, Luna Burger has stolen that crown – the gammo teriyaki burger is now the best burger of my life. I believe the patty is at least partially tofu based, which is lighter than seitan but more interesting than a standard texture soy patty. The combination of flavours was perfect. The structure was also sound, with a very satisfying filling-to-bread ratio that nonetheless remained integral throughout consumption.
Read moreWhile I was initially disappointed to have chips rather than fries (where I’m from, fries are called chips, so I wasn’t expecting it) this actually paired nicely with the burger and with my beer. They were homemade, but not too oily.
Very friendly staff, all round excellent experience. Absolutely will come again if I return to Kamakura.

Cute one very friendly chef place with such extensive burger menu and the best freshly made desert. We had the Luna burger and teriyaki burger which were both mouthwatering tasty and super fresh. They came with a side of homemade Japanese potato chips. The onion rings with mustard dip were the best we ever had: crisp and not too oily. We did indulge in one freshly baked vegan whipped cream filled strawberry malasada. It’s worth coming just for this. Loved it. Tried the amazake iced soymilk which is a fermented slightly sweetened drink. Very refreshing and nourishing.

Truly exceptional vegan burgers, near the Hase train station. Many different options of toppings - but you might as well go for one of the giant ones. Both the Hase Burger and the Kamakura BBQ Burger are highly recommended. All buns and sauces are vegan as well. For those not in a Burger mood, the restaurant also has a veggie curry. Finish everything with a vegan Malasada and a drink, and contemplate the fact that the meaning of life is perhaps in one the onion rings you just ate.

They always sell their burgers at the vegan gourmet festivals, so we already knew how good they were. It was great to finally visit their shop. Their menu is limited, but the Korean spicy burgers with homemade chips were delicious. The matcha was surprisingly good too.
