Very good value - Edit
For dinner I chose a falafel wrap and shared a sidedish of hummus. Both very tasty, large and traditional. The place is more famous for take away than for eating in, but with a largely vegan menu and very cheap prices I would definitely recommend it!

Not that impressed - Edit
I don't like to badmouth a place that serves vegan food but we were disappointed with Maha. They didn't have any pita, they don't accept common debit or credit cards, they are slow and the food was average.
Read moreI make better babaganoush myself. Sorry but I wouldn't come here again.
Also, when did Happy Cow start allowing non-vegan restaurants to get 5 stars?
Pros: They were open, The food was ok, Price is ok
Cons: Cash only, unless you have a special Belgian card, Slow

Expensive - Edit
Homemade lemonade was 5 euros and de falafel burger 8 euros, my burger was sloppy and didn't have much taste. It wasn't very bad, just don't think it's worth the price

Loved the falafel and aubergine moutabal, as well as the vegan pudding for dessert. Prices are really good, and vegan options are clearly labelled.

Great place. Beautiful interior and even better food. The falafel wrap and pita were delicious and pretty cheap. We had the moutabal as a starter too, lovely balance of smokey eggplant, tangy balsamic vinegar and fresh herbs. We will be back for sure!

New, chic & tasty - Edit
Like all vegetarians everywhere, I’ve had more than my fair share of dry falafel accompanied by watery fistfuls of iceberg lettuce and sad, flavourless slices of tomato. Not this time. This restaurant is light and airy with plenty of seating, plants and some nice black-and-white photography on the walls. The menu has reliable faves (pita, hummus) and some creative options too (can’t remember exactly, there was something w aubergine and a homemade vegan pudding). The halloumi fries were the star of the show: basically an entire block of thinly sliced halloumi, crumbed and fried. It was crunchy and delightful, and, while it might not be advisable for just one person to eat so much deep-fried cheese, I regret nothing. I also had the falafel salad which had crisp, fresh leaves, sweet little cherry tomatoes, pomegranate seeds, falafel and a fantastic vinaigrette, all topped w a sauce that i think was yoghurt and sesame? I’m part-woman, part-ravenous-wolf so doubted that it would be enough but I was pleasantly surprised. The manager and owner were attentive and charming and the service was quick. Maha has restored my faith in falafel and I would definitely recommend it.
