Vraag bij de thali om vervanging van de raita/Yoghurt. Dan krijg je nog een lekker gerechtje erbij

It was fine - Edit
As others have said, the food was decent and they speak English well, which was very helpful. However, it wasn't amazing and it was more expensive than I'd have expected. Still not crazy though.

It was okay - Edit
There were vegan options, but not labelled and we first had to explain to the staff what vegan food is, so that was stressful since they also seemed to be impatient. The nan bread was not vegan but they had another version of it which was vegan. For the price I would say it wasn't that good but still alright.

Veganized vegetarian options - Edit
Staff was able to help pointing out vegan options. From vegetarian dishes about half is vegan. Option to choose five with rice (see photo).

It was ok, but waaaay too much salt - Edit
The food is what you might expect from an Indian restaurant.
Read moreOn the menu there is a page dedicated to vegetarian options. As it turns out, most of them are vegan as well. The menu isn't fully clear on that. But that's not a big issue if you know your French (don't know how good the staff is in english).
There is one major downside to Maharajare. And that is that they use an incredible amount of salt in almost everything. Our meat eating companions said the same.
One might wonder why they do it, because the food would most likely taste great without the salt and only with the herbs used.
If they would improve that, this place would be a good option to go to if you are with some 'meathead' companions :)
Pros: A couple of vegan options to choose from
Cons: Way, way, waaaay too much salt used, Menu doesn't differentiate vegetarian&vegan

Good Indian food - Edit
This is a nice Indian restaurant in a quiet lane in the city centre of Liège. My French is not that good, so I had a look at the menu online before I went there and translated the components of the meals. This would not have been necessary, though, because the staff spoke very good English. The food was good, I have had better Indian meals, but definitely worse ones, too!
Read moreAs there are not many vegan options in Liege, I recommend going here if you stay in the city for a little longer and feel like a change.
Pros: English spoken, Good food, Friendly service
Cons: Serves meat, Menu only in French

A fine Indian Restaurant - Vegan Friendly - Edit
Have had a hard time finding vegan food in Liege. The chef at this restaurant was very personable, spoke English well, and made Vegan food for me and food without garlic and tomatoes for my friend who is allergic to those items. The food was several steps above the usual Indian food, beautiful ambiance, super clean. Highly recommended.

Cons: Can't think of any
