Had no idea Kenyan food was this good - Edit
I’ll be honest. I’ve never had Kenyan food before and had no idea what any of the items were. The server made some recommendations and we went with it. And boy were we glad we did ! Deliciousness all around. We will be back for sure. Our favorite was probably the Bariis.

Fully Vegan- almost all gluten free - Edit
The food is all fresh cooked. It takes a while to get the food as it is currently a one man show. He is moving to a brick and mortar place soon where he will have help.

There is hot water to wash your hands by the Porto pots. Outdoor seating, some open air, some under a tent and 3 tables in an enclosed tent.

Killer Kenyan - Edit
I ordered the Bariis, which is rice, Beyond beef, and potatoes topped with herbs, banana, and a lemon wedge. It was flavorful, but not spicy. However, hot sauce is available. The employee seemed genuinely friendly rather than just polite.

New favorite in PDX! - Edit
Wow, I never knew what I was missing! Incredible flavors, generous portions, and such a friendly owner. The location is a bit far from me, but I’ll definitely make the trip back as often as I can.

Kenyan Vegan Food Experience - Edit
This place is a must visit! The food has a well-rounded flavor profile that includes savory, sour, tart, creamy and umami elements. It’s so colorful, flavorful and delicious. I can’t wait to go back. This is the type of food that you eat and you just think, “I want to come back here every week.” Come support this new business because the food is mad yummy and the owner is so sweet! You can tell the food is made with love.

Extraordinary flavors! - Edit
WOW this cart is incredible!! The guy who owns it is so personable, passionate, accommodating, and funny. I got the Matoke Curry and my partner got the Bariis. The curry is super good, very citrusy which I wasn’t expecting but definitely wasn’t mad at. The bariis is out of this world, we were both shocked it was completely vegan. Show this cart some love!!

All vegan, accommodating, kind, flavorful - Edit
Excellent food, kind and cool individual operating who is happy to accommodate and takes pride in feeding people.
Read moreWe tried everything in stock honestly. The "beef" is Beyond. The Ugali is my fave, I always look to how chefs treat/prep their greens and the sukuma wiki (collards) is fantastic. The stuffed mandazi is a great concept, I could come back for that alone. The matoke curry has a lot of flavor, as does the bariis. The breads and chips were fun.
When we talk about supporting the right people/ businesses, this is what we talk about. Kindness comes easy for this gentleman and I hope this venture is successful for him.
Pros: kindly accommodated us , all vegan , lots of flavor

Absolutely incredible. I’ve been searching for a new restaurant (or food truck) for a while. Tiered of the same old stuff. This food was incredible. Got the matoke curry and the bariss. Both were so, so good. I’ve never had Kenyan food before. Oh man, have I been missing out!!
