Nice place... service non existent... food not good - Edit
Noticed a lot of good reviews about falafel... so I ordered a falafel sandwich and hummus. The falafel looks sad... nothing like falafel... one small bite and I am done.

Great service but not the best food - Edit
This is a very nice and cozy place. The staff was very friendly and helped us perfect. I ordered the falafel sandwich, the taste was okay but could've been better. It was a bit boring, got a piece of bread, some salad leaves on it and on the plate a few tomato slices, avocado and cucumber and tahini.

Great selection of vegan plates - Edit
Me and my friend decided to stop by Henna Art cafe for lunch. The menu is in English, French and Spanish and here you can find a great selection of vegan and vegetarian food. Plus, the recipes aren’t only moroccan, so you can have the possibility to eat something with different flavors like, for example, guacamole.

Best vegan food in Marrakech - Edit
The Henna Cafe is a special place. There are a few great establishments serving vegan food in Marrakech but Henna is a cut above the rest for several reasons. Let’s talk about the location first. The cafe is just a couple of minutes away from Jemma el-Fna, so easy to find. Head through the blue door and up the stairs and you’ll find the first level which includes the rooms where they do the henna tattoos (vegan, by the way). Head up another flight of stairs and you’ll get a choice of 2 rooftop terraces to sit on, both with some shaded tables. It’s strange to be above the hustle and bustle of the alleys coming off the square but still hear it quite clearly and almost still be part of it.
Read moreMost places that offer vegan food in Marrakech don’t really make it clear on menus and this is an area where Henna shines. A dedicated bilingual menu (English and French) tells you exactly what you can have and the specials boards also clearly label the vegan options. It’s a small thing but makes a big difference, especially if you’re travelling somewhere unfamiliar. On the off chance you are unsure, look no further than the staff who are VERY clear on what vegan means. They offer quick and efficient service with a smile and nothing is too much trouble for them. We went nearly every day during our holiday just because the service was fantastic and its not all just about the food.
Speaking of food - this place is a vegan paradise. There is a solid mix of dishes including tagine, couscous, soups, sandwiches and salads and its a rare place in that you can’t really go wrong no matter what you order. That includes the very simple but still tasty sliced oranges dusted with cinnamon. I had a bit of a soft spot for the tagine and maybe had it for half of my meals and I have absolutely no regrets (except that I had to go home and leave it behind). A special mention has to go to the hummus. I know I know, stereotypical vegan raving about the hummus. I’ll just say it’s the best I’ve ever had and leave it at that.
Henna is the crown jewel of the vegan scene in Marrakech. It has that perfect combination of quality, variety, cost and fantastic service and nails all of them. If you’re going to Marrakech, this place should be first on your list. It’s funny how quickly you become used to a place and then miss it when you go and I can’t wait to travel there again.
Pros: Lots of vegan options (and clearly labelled), Specials to keep things varied, Rooftop terrace is fantastic to sit on

We visited here in November 2018. We sat on the "roof-top", with view on the night sky, quite nice. we had Falafel, Tajine, cinnamon oranges and fruit with chocolate cream which was all good.

Lots of vegan options for Marrakech - Edit
We ate here twice while in Marrakech, the food is good and menu is very clearly labelled with food that is suitable for vegetarians, vegans and gluten free. The menu has one of the largest choices of vegetarian and vegan food we seen while in Marrakech including soya milk for coffee (a rarity in Marrakech as there doesn’t seem to be any ‘substitute’ meat & diary products in Morocco) and the staff are friendly and speak good English & French. The place is easy to find from the square and the food is no too pricy.

Good hummus and falafel - Edit
Lovely cute place with very organized menu (explains GF, veg, vegan options clearly) and good service. We were grateful to see something besides tagine! The hummus and falafel were both very fresh. Would definitely go here again.

I was not impressed! - Edit
Disappointing!
Read moreWe went to henna for dinner and weren't impressed with the service, food and restaurant.
We sat inside and it took quite a while before somebody came to see us. Then, we weren't shown the specials. I got up and found the special board. The restaurant itself was kind of lifeless and grim.
We had the falafel sandwich, vegan sandwich and soups. The soups were excellent but the falafel sandwich was awful. It was served on a fluffy white bread with a couple dried up pucks. The vegan sandwich had lots of avocado and tomato but was served on one of those round white buns that is not very good.
Staff was eager to get out of there and it showed. It's not a place I would go back to.

a worthwhile stop - Edit
The first time in Marrakech (a hell if you don’t like witnessing animal abuse) I was happy to finally find falafel in Morocco, and the falafel here was satisfying. the zaalouk was also great on the side. I’d recommend this place because you know the vegan options will be safe, but the prices are pretty high for Morocco.

Me encantó - Edit

I only went once here for a "snack" and had the aubergine (warm) salad which was delicious. Nice atmosphere and cheap. They gave me bread and olives as a plus as well, which they often do in Morroco.

great! - Edit
Lovely balcony space and clear menu to read from that provided plenty of vegan and vegetarian dishes, I had the falafel sandwich and asked for hummus on the side, really delicious and the area that it's located in was a lovely place to explore. Also had some henna done at the end of my meal which was beautifully done. Really good value for money
