We visited this cafe twice and enjoyed the food. Starter and mains seemed to be quite similar in size which was peculiar but vegan dishes were clearly marked and everything was great value

Stumbled across this place as we were walking to the main square, very cute with nice art and henna available. The food was all delicious and very reasonably priced. Wish I could have tried everything! Very friendly staff and lovely covered rooftop

I went for dinner here and tried multiple dishes. Everything was delicious and the atmosphere was great. I was curious to see what the “avocado” boat would be and it was actually pretty good. Am hoping to come back another time while in the city!

Loved it here. The henna was lots of fun and there was soo much choice - menu clearly labelled. Loved the noodles, Moroccan salad and bulgar wheat soup.

We had the lentil soup and the lentil crepe as starters - both amazing!
Read moreAs main dishes we had the falafel plate, couscous with vegetables and a small salad.
For dessert we got a mint tea and the crepe with jam. Absolutely recommend this!
Together with a large bottle of water we paid about 24 euro for two persons.
It's also very nice to sit on the rooftop terrace.
But there is no nice view 😂

There were so many labelled vegan options here - we went twice as we wanted to try more and the food was a good price. The cookies labelled vegan have 'amlou' in, which we Googled and contains honey. I got the impression that many places in Marrakesh did not understand/realise that honey is not vegan! Other than that, staff were friendly and it was good value for money, service a little slow but well worth a visit for traditional food.

Nice place close to Jama El Fna, with a cute and quiet terrace, free wifi and several vegan options in the menu. I ordered the vegan sandwich and... well. It was not exactly a sandwich (pic attached): more like a salad in bread with a bit of everything. But it was just enormous and I was really hungry, so not bad. They're also very friendly.

Awesome Henna okay food - Edit
My husband and I went during Ramadan (May 2019) which was rough overall for food. It was the only place that was reliably open and that we could find in the medina. We went to one or two other places mostly on a whim. Our hotel served breakfast and we ate it every morning which was delicious.

Tried the couscous with veg which as others have said isn’t extremely flavourful but if you had the salt and spices they give you it can be seasoned how you like it and i found it very tasty after that. The lady who i believe is the owner was very friendly.

A haven for vegans - Edit
I visited Marrakech Henna Art Cafe in September 2021 when it seemed most of the vegan friendly restaurants in Marrakech were closed, at least temporarily. Things are only just reopening after Covid, so it was a big relief to find this place open.

Come here. (Many places seem to think vegan and vegetarian are the same thing)
The food is very simple and inexpensive. We tried the lentil soup, which was very tasty and served with Moroccan bread, the hummus and the lentils and rice (a bit bland but benefitted from adding table seasonings).
The roof terraces are a pleasant shady place to sit and they have fans to circulate the air in the heat.
We visited twice after several other places we tried were closed and La Famille had no vegan options.
Pros: Clearly marked vegan options, Inexpensive , Close to Jemaa el Fna square

Really looked forward to checking this place out and was left a little disappointed. I ordered the vegan cous cous and felt that it was a little bland. It was however very filling and kept me going far until dinner.
