Delightful, warming drink. I love ginger so this was perfect.
RAINBOW SALAD RM18
A colourful salad containing cabbage, capsicum, lettuce, carrot & raisins with homemade basil and papaya-plum dressings. Lots of raw food here. The basil dressing was exceptionally delish.
MEDIFOODS NASI LEMAK RM16
They veganised this for us - yay! Ten different spices are used in the rice and there’s no coconut milk yet the rice is really fragrant. I loved how it’s served with 3 different kinds of sambal - sweet, spicy and dry. Mr Jazz Guitarist was super happy as he loves Nasi Lemak.
LEI CHA RM16
This is an assortment of vegetables & nut served with rice and together with their signature basil blended soup. Very colourful. What really made me happy was the purple cabbage! That’s not something very common and I’m glad they included that as part of the ingredients for the Lei Cha. Also, the rice is a special combination of long grain Basmati rice with lentil and millet.
STIR FRIED MUSHROOM AND ONION RM30 (large)
This dish was specially for mum as she was craving for mushrooms plus I love mushrooms too. Nice and fresh.
VEGAN SNACKS
Ang Ku (red bean) RM1.80
Chai kuih RM1.80
Radish cake RM1.80
Pumpkin cake RM1.80
Tau Fu Fah RM3.50
We had a gala time trying out all the snacks. My favourites were the Ang Ku, radish cake and the tau fu fah.
Dishes are clearly marked vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free. They also indicate the number of calories as well as the salt content for each dish.
Apart from being a health food restaurant, they are also an organic & food shop so I got a bottle of organic Apple Cider Vinegar to use for my upcoming tempeh-making workshop.
The staff are really helpful and courteous. Look for Swan who is the nutritionist there and can help provide advice to meet your health needs.
We were there on a Sunday evening so there was lots of parking spaces.
I’d love to go back and try their Vegetarian Breakfast Buffet which is offered at RM16.50 on weekdays and RM18 on weekends. There’s also a set lunch on weekdays going for only RM9.90 where you get 4 selections of dishes, 1 rice and 1 bowl of soup.
Pros: Healthy, Vegan food clearly marked, Lots of items on the menu
Cons: Parking may be difficult on weekdays daytime
