Excellente découverte

Les options vegan sont relativement limitées mais ne déçoivent pas. L'assiette découverte végétarienne est excellente ! De loin le meilleur restaurant éthiopien que j'ai pu tester.

Authentic and tasty ethopian food

Cute restaurant with two vegan options, that offer more variety than you might think! Very good price and friendly staff.

Typical Ethiopian restaurant, good food

A very typical Ethiopian restaurant with delicious food. Prices are quite cheap (for Paris) and for the amount of food you will get. The injera is not as sour as I am used to from Ethiopia or other Ethiopian restaurants, but still good. Friendly staff.

Do they serve vegan food?

No. How is this on here??? Do you have any idea how disappointing paris/France is? Could do without this.

Delicious and different

Enjoyed the delicious Assortiment Végétarien. I believe the component parts are vegan, except the dressing on the salad.
Warning: I ate with my meat-eating family. My meal was served on a huge platter covered with an Injera (pancake/flat-bread) right next to and touching their meaty dishes. If you don’t want meat juices or traces on your vegan food, ask for yours to be served on a separate plate.

Delicious variety of warm, flavorful veggies dishes.

Lots of vegetarian options! Can’t confirm if all veggie dishes are vegan. Friendly staff and welcoming environment.

Super tasty and friendly Ethiopian

Whenever I have friends visiting I take them to this lovely Ethiopian restaurant. We always share a well filled and varied vegetarian plate, and we're always stuffed after ! They usually welcome you with a small glass of sparkling wine, but do try the Ethiopian beer as well. The staff are always friendly and I'm sure you won't be disappointed by the amazing cuisine !

Tasty, filling Ethiopian food

The main dish here, as in many Ethiopian restaurants, is a big, savoury (and slightly sour) pancake called an injera, covered with a selection of pickles, stews, and vegetables. The vegetarian option is completely vegan, and can be shared by up to four people. It's a really good and filling meal, and the range of little dishes has been popular with all our friends we've taken here.

The only problem is that this is the only really vegan dish, but as long as you don't visit too often, it's always an enjoyable meal.

Pros: Friendly staff, Delicious, healthy food

Cons: Only really one vegan option

The chickpea dish called "Chouro" is vegan too (but the other one is more interesting as it has some variety). :)

Great vegan options in the 17th

This restaurant is a bit hidden on a side street, and doesn't look like much from the outside, but once you cross the threshold you find a nice ambiance, ample seating, cozy booths in the back and best of all, some really nice vegan dishes. A good place to keep in mind if you're ever in the 17th arrondissement and the local vegetarian/vegan places are closed.

Note down the names of the two vegan dishes listed in the main description (see also the photo of the menu), as they are not labeled as vegan on the menu itself. But because of the Orthodox "fasting" tradition in their country (no animal products on certain days of the week, plus Lent), Ethiopians are familiar with 100% plant-based foods, and you should be able to make any questions you have about ingredients understood.

If two people are dining together, their dishes will be brought out on a communal injera platter (on top of a large injera bread), with extra rolls of bread to pick up the food with.

I didn't have dessert as the dinner was so filling, but on their menu they have a fresh fruit cup. There are also some traditional European desserts but those are probably not vegan. You can try asking though -- you never know!

The restaurant's website also mentions an Ethiopian coffee ceremony of some kind. I didn't experience this personally, but it sounds like it could be fun if you go there early enough in the day. ;)

Pros: great food, large portions, nice ambiance
