5* - Amazing Syrian Food - Edit
Mezze is just amazing, all their food is super tasty. The falafel are some of the best I've had and so is the babaganoush. All the other Vegan options are also very good (hummus, fatoush, tabouleh, mutabal, etc .)

Great food - Edit
There is not many middle-eastern restaurant in Lisboa, so it was delighful to discover this one!
Read moreThey offer several menu with multiple mezze (small dishes) or à la carte menu. There is a vegetarian menu and a vegan menu. The vegetarian one didn't seemed to have animal by-products, so I asked why it's marked as "vegetarian" : the falafel mezze comes with a yoghurt sauce but the waiter offered to swap it for a tahini sauce.
Everything was delicious and tasty!
I tried the tamarind juice for the first time, it was so good, tart and sweet at the same time.

Vegan mezze - Edit
Great vegan choices! Fresh and delicious😄I usually order the vegan mezze with several dishes and I’m never disappointed. Unfortunately I believe the falafel is made with egg (at least no one offered to try them so I just suppose) which I find really sad as I’m missing a place with great vegan falafel in Lisbon. Also the portions could be a bit bigger (but I eat a lot so others might not feel the same way ☺️)

Cons: Quite pricey, Items on the menu are not marked as vegan/veggir

Hi!
Read moreI've enquired about the falafels when I visited the restaurant. They are vegan but come with a yoghurt sauce. The waiter nicely offered to change it for a tahini sauce. It was delicious!

Mezze is a restaurant created by an NGO to employ Middle Eastern refugees. It's a very special place where refiugges can share their identity with their new community. They serve home cooking full of flavour and joy! It really deserves a visit.
