Not well run - Edit
I ate here twice while visiting Tucson. The first time was at night and things were decent. The second time was at breakfast and it was a really terrible experience. Not only did it take more than 45 minutes to get what I ordered, but the facilities are not suitable for families. They have ONE highchair in the entire restaurant. There were maybe 5 kids there when we visited including multiple babies. I offered to give my highchair to another family and use the portable one I had in the car. I attached it to the table and it seemed fine. I’d used it many times before. But the table was not sturdy enough and has too narrow a base and fell over onto my baby. It was really scary. I messaged the restaurant afterwards to make sure they would order more highchairs and got absolutely no response, not even an apology. My baby could have been very seriously injured by their lack of adequate accommodations. They also have no changing table and no real public restroom, just the one through the kitchen, which is really not appropriate or safe. I would not go back.

You do realize that it is a deli, not a full restaurant, right? As such, you should have realistic expectations. If you want a restaurant experience with high chairs and “safe” bathrooms then go to an actual restaurant.

Hey There!
Read moreJust wanted to let you know that we did buy a second high chair. We don’t have much storage at the deli so it’s not really feasible for us to store more than that at this time. As far as the wait goes, I believe you came in during a holiday weekend so we were slammed. I still apologize for the wait though. And as far as your complaint about the location of the bathroom, we are looking into building out a second bathroom in the front just for customers. It’s an expensive undertaking though, so still figuring out how to make it work. Sorry not to have everything to your liking during your visit, we are a small, locally owned business that is going into its second year. Still lots of things to learn and improvements to make as we can afford them. Lovin Spoonfuls might be a great option for you. I’ve taken my niece there and they have games for the kiddos and a full changing table in the bathroom. Thanks for eating vegan and supporting local!

If I could give it ten stars, I would! - Edit
What a great place for delicious food on the go but also a nice place to sit down and enjoy their food: they have it all: salads, smoothies, burgers, sandwiches (hot and cold), Sonoran hot dog, daily specials, sweet treats (cookies, brownies, etc.), in addition to the market (frozen and dry) for all and everything VEGAN. They are so affordable too and such nice people. Seriously delicious food.

We were impressed with the large menu and ordered the mac sandwich along with French toast. Both were delicious. We also grabbed a slice of cheesecake, personally I didn’t think it was all that good. The cafe had plenty of seating and staff were very friendly!

I've found everything I've tried there delicious. The first time there, I ordered way too much because I wanted to try it all. When I want to eat out, it is the first place I think of. I also find things in the grocery offerings that I have a hard time finding anywhere else.

Everything is delicious - Edit
We get food from here regularly. Have had most of the menu at this point! The Reuben, Return of the Mac, monthly burger specials, Philly, tuno melt, 'egg' salad sandwich, both types of fried chicken sandwiches (one is buffalo and the other bbq), French dip, specialty tacos, t- town breakfast burrito (tip, you can request it with unreal steak, and it makes a great breakfast burrito even better. ) We normally get fries or tots with each order. Honestly, everything is delish and portions are generous, with reasonable prices. The market store items can be pricier thsn other retail locations but I sometimes buy vegan grocery items there that i can't get anywhere else.

Next Level Vegan Food 😋 - Edit
Midtown Vegan Deli & Market is an absolute gem. This vegan deli and market offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it the perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal with friends or family. The market is well-stocked with delicious vegan staples in their cooler cases and freezer cases, groceries. Their baked goods rotate often, so it’s always a delicious surprise when I go in.
Read moreThe menu is extensive and diverse, offering a range of breakfast dishes, sandwiches, salads, and desserts. The breakfast burritos are a must-try and are, without a doubt, the best in town. The Bacon Western Chi burger is another standout dish, offering a perfect balance of flavor, texture, and nutrition. (Pro tip: try it with sprouts and jalapeños)
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always willing to assist customers with their orders or answer any questions they may have. The restaurant is also wheelchair accessible and accepts credit cards and tap-to-pay, making it easy and convenient. The free Wi-Fi is a great bonus, providing customers with the opportunity to stay connected while they enjoy their meal.
Overall, I would highly recommend Midtown Vegan Deli & Market to anyone looking for a delicious and nutritious meal in a welcoming environment. Whether you're a vegan or just looking for healthier options, this is the place for you!

Love this place!! - Edit
Wow if I lived here I would eat here everyday!!! This place was delicious!! 100% vegan deli and market! Good deserts like cupcakes and rice crispies available, beer, coffee , everything you need!! I ordered the Philly cheesesteak and it was amazing! Although it didn’t look like the photos posted here or google maps. I had to ask for the cheese sauce and it came with lettuce and mayo instead which wasn’t described on the menu. I had to assume it was a new person cooking maybe didn’t know the menu very well? My partner ordered the Rueben and it was the best Rueben I’ve ever tried!! The menu is huge and breakfast served all day!! #Veganuary

Great Concept, Great Execution! - Edit
A one-stop shop for vegans…what a wonderful idea! The food is delicious, and the owner and staff are all great. The menu has so many tempting choices it made it difficult to decide. On top of that, the walls are lined with lots of food items that might save you a trip to the grocery store while at the same time supporting a fully vegan business. One wall has refrigerated and frozen items and the other has all the non-perishable foods. I’ll be stopping by every time I’m in Tucson.

The menu is vast and everything our family and friends have tired has been delicious. This place emulates the dichotomy of control by the owner paving the way for a Stoic cosmopolis. She is creating a better future.

My girlfriend and I came here for breakfast on a quick trip to Tucson. I got the simple breakfast sammy on a bagel with bacon and a side of tater tots (be warned - it’s a lot of tots) and she got the french toast with a side of hashbrowns. Everything was great and we would definitely come back.

Fanfrickintastic Deli! - Edit
We stopped here before heading out to Madera Canyon where we would have no vegan options. The food is fabulous and the employees are awesome. We ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich and the Philly with soy curls plus some small salads (macaroni, potato and pasta). We also stocked up on some brownies and rice crispy treats. Holy smokes, they were so good. The gal behind the counter even gave me tips on how to make the brownies myself as I’ve been struggling with getting my vegan brownies to set up. We had to go back into Tucson the next day so we stopped by again! We got the BLT and the special which I think was called the Koz burger. Also got some chocolate chip cookies as they were out of the Rice Krispy treats and brownies. Can’t recommend this place enough. Oh and they let me sample the Not Milk brand of dairy free milk and it was so good! I’ve never seen it anywhere else. Hope I can find it in the Seattle area.

I ordered the Philly sandwich with vegan beef. It was really good, but a little too salty for my liking. But overall, I will recommend people to try it. I also had a vegan brownie and kombucha. Kombucha was ok, but the brownie was tasty.
