Lovely to try traditional sweets - Edit
Was wary after reading other reviews that they might not have many options but we found lots to choose from!
Read moreThe traditional fruit cake is vegan, we got a little wheel with all four types of it inside and the powdered sugar was the winner. Also tried the beautiful roses and violets, you can choose between little lollies in the shape of flowers or whole flowers that have been candied! We got the whole flowers and they were delightful. Also the sugared almonds, hard rock sweets and some little boxes of what I think are breathmints (they’re gifts so I didn’t try them) from the counter
- lots of options and nice to be able to indulge in local treats!
Pros: Local specialties , Multiple options, Ingredients on everything
Cons: On the expensive side

Vegan friendly???? - Edit
I'm not sure this place has a reason to be listed on Happy cow as vegan options are very limited and not clearly labelled.
Read moreFor example I saw two different types of cacao panforte, one in the ingredients list had honey and the other one didn't have it, and they were both put in the same place!
Also every slice of panpepato that I saw had honey in it, so they probably changed the recipe from when this place was firstly reviewed.
Anyway I got apricot and cacao panforte, they both were vegan (CHECK THE LABELS!) and they tasted nice, apricot one was my favourite one.
It's also very very expensive.

Traditional Tuscan sweets - Edit
Traditional Florentine pastry shop, here you can find some (incidentally vegan) Tuscan sweets, panpepato and cocoa-flavoured panforte. I have bought and tried them both, they are so moreish.
