Managed to get a seat at the bar before the ballet - Edit
Packed- line out the door! This place is very popular, maybe because so many London restaurants are closed on the weekends (how?! My US sensibilities are so confused). Staff are really nice, despite what must be a very stressful work environment.

I thought I knew a solid amount about global cuisine, but the menu had a ton of words I didn’t know, which is how I ended up with some sort of greasy cheesy/bready entree ☹️ None of those adjectives delight me. I still don’t know what my dessert was, except that it was colorful and involved coconut. It all tasted fine, and maybe it’s because I was walking so much I barely got bloated from it. Still hoping I can find safer food tomorrow.

Lovely food, confusing location - Edit
The food was delicious although the portions were a bit small (rice to main ratio). The location was confusing as there are a few Mildred's within close proximity so be sure to send the correct address to large parties. It was typical London pricing so be mindful of that and the tables were a bit close together so be wary if going with larger people. Otherwise the food was worth it #Veganuary

Located in the popular Leicester Square region of London, so super easy to travel to and find.
Read moreWe reserved a table as it is incredibly popular, but some people managed to get seated without one. The artwork was a nice touch, giving the restaurant a contemporary vibe. Staff were incredibly accommodating.
For the starters we went for the arancini rossi and the kimchi gyoza to share. Mains were the shiitake tempeh tan tan, and the brown sugar glazed chick+n burger. Everything was excellent, however the starters were the star of the show.
A little on the expensive side, but for the location and quality that is expected.

We came in without resevation 2 days before christmas. We got a very nice table with a view to the street and one hour time. As the kitchen is very fast that was no problem. The food tasted well.

So lush for fancy night out ! - Edit
It’s best to book ahead and go earliest if you can. Great service - downstairs seemed much less crowded than upstairs - food was quick and so good. It is pricy but it’s so lovely to be able to have fancy great quality vegan food with a kids menu too. Location really accessible - big fans of Mildred’s here : )

Despite it being a busy Friday evening on the run up to Christmas the staff were able to seat us and have us out in under an hour (we were in a rush before our train home). The staff were so attentive and friendly. Good was piping hot and was incredible! Wish I had room for dessert.
