So disappointing - Edit
First off, do NOT look at photos of the burgers on the website, otherwise you will be just as wildly disappointed as I was. They are not even remotely realistic (just as burgers in ads used by McDonald's and Burger King are 10x larger in photos than the compressed, flattened disc of sadness that you get in the wrapper). I figured it wouldn't be exactly like those mouth-watering pics of course, but I wasn't prepared for just how comical it would be. The bun is probably the only thing that looks pretty much the same. I ordered the Hell Burger and fries to go at 20:00 on a weeknight...there was no one there in line or eating, which isn't a good sign. The fries did not seem fresh (probably sleeping under a heat lamp or microwave-reheated). Paper-thin slice of tomato (honestly I have never in my life seen a tomato slice as thin as this, it was almost transparent!), maybe a level tablespoon of the slaw, two small strands of onion (not even a slice, just two little pieces from one ring!), tiny bit of spicy mayo, and a small sprinkling of lettuce that I asked them to omit (I hate nutritionless iceberg and all that it represents, LOL).

Whoever prepared the burger must have been laughing as they did so, because this was about 5x less material from each filling than would have been considered acceptable by anyone. If I'm being honest, it felt like an insult, maybe because I could not order in Portuguese, who knows? The "protein burger" itself was about half as thick as the company photos, and was just ok in terms of flavor...probably the only thing that offered any real nutritional value in the whole sandwich. I desperately wanted to support a vegan joint AND have a big sloppy tasty burger, but what I got was merely edible, like airplane food. So incredibly disappointed!

ACTUALIZACIÓN: Volví otras dos veces. La hamburguesa la misma pero cambia el milkshake (ahora de plátano) y las patatas, que llevaban queso y bacon. Muy bueno todo.

O motivo de termos introduzido estes novos burgers foi uma consequência de termos recebido muitos comentários de clientes a pedir Burgers mais simples e consensuais - temos tido bons feedbacks dos novos burgers, mas nem todas as pessoas gostam.
No entanto, procurámos não desiludir os clientes Mother Burger mantendo os antigos burgers, tendo retirado as referências mais semelhantes com outros burgers ou com menor procura.
Em relação ao pão - tínhamos muitas críticas do nosso antigo pão pois esfarelava e ficava muito seco, pelo que estivemos a trabalhar num novo pão que lançámos em Março de 2023.
Em relação às Dirty Chips - iremos voltar a ter (pensamos que a partir de Março), num formato mais pequeno, e com batatas fritas caseiras – estamos a fazer o teste das batatas fritas caseiras no Colombo e o feedback tem sido positivo.
Acredite que fazemos mudanças para melhorar o Mother Burger e não para mudar por mudar, e todas as mudanças resultam das sugestões de clientes.

This is the lowest score I’ve ever given a fully vegan restaurant it’s a sad day.
Read moreFirst of all, when we went up to the counter and ordered, the guy serving us was like “you know it’s all vegan, right?” Which meant he was seemingly thinking that we thought it was not vegan, and he was breaking the news to us. I was like “yea perfect”. I couldn’t help but think that the guy working there didn’t support the cause which made me kind of annoyed.
Anyways the food came, we each got a burger and shared some sides. The protein in my burger was weird for lack of a better word, I think it might have been made out of some kind of unseasoned red bean purée, and I ended up not being able to finish it because of the taste, which is extremely rare for me. I guess it is somewhat my fault as I just chose the one with the best looking picture after I realised the menu was in Portuguese, but it was still the disappointing burger I’ve ever tasted.
The nuggets had this weird fishy taste and the chips had no salt on them. Even the tomato sauce they gave me had a strange vinegar taste. I honestly thought I had covid and it was messing with my tastebuds, but Nicola confirmed my suspicions.
Since it is all vegan i feel I shouldn’t give it 1 star, it was cheap enough and maybe some other menu items were better tasting.
Edit: I forgot to mention the saving grace was the ores milkshake which was delicious.

Read moreIt saddens me when staff at vegan and even non-vegan places (ordering the vegan options) feel they have to ask you “you know it’s vegan, right?” I mean, no one gets told “you know it’s a dead cow, right?” Equally sad is when they make vegan food taste so bad, embarrassingly bad. I can fry a slab of tofu with salt & pepper, slap it in a bun with a vegan mayo or mustard and it tastes better than some of these so-called vegan burger joints. How can it be so hard?

For me it’s always a big disappointment when I’ve been looking for a place and then I finally get there and it’s inside of a mall. They were out of nuggets which is what I came to try, so I just had a cheese burger. It was good and their menu looks really tasty, I just wasn’t hungry enough. They were friendly! ☺️

It had great cheese and I loved it. We got regular fries and sweet potato fries. The street burger had a seitan patty and a sweet sauce. My partner loved it and would eat it again for sure.
