Tucked down a side street behind another restaurant is this great little restaurant.

For mains we had a tempeh based dish and a burger.
I took away a cheesecake for later .
The service was friendly.
I tried an apple cider,but it was very sweet compared to English cider.

A Cozy Hidden Gem for Lunch - Edit
Tucked away on a quiet little side street, Musgo was the perfect spot for lunch. I had the daily special, which was a Wellington-style "meatloaf" that day, while my partner went for the burger. I also ordered a small soup, which was absolutely delicious.

More than just a title, this place truly stands out. The food is delicious, and the owners are genuinely kind and welcoming. I’ve been there multiple times, and the quality is consistently excellent, with a different dish offered every day. The food was excellent, especially a comforting vegetable spinach soup, a “no fish” burger that was surprisingly flavorful and satisfying, and a soft, chocolatey cookie-style birthday cake that was just perfect.

Few choices that changed every day and the a la carte menu was mostly burgers so i say go with dish of the day!

I've been countless times in the last few years, and the daily meal never fails to amaze me, it's always delicious and perfectly cooked. The space is cosy and, the staff are very friendly. If you are visiting Aveiro, it's in a perfect location as it's near many of its iconic places.

Such a great experience at Musgo. I tried a vegan version of a Christmas classic, bacalhau a lagareiro, which is always difficult to find in vegan form. Then a fantastic pudding, bolo de bolacha, biscuit cake. The chef was so friendly she even gave me the recipe so I can try and make it for my family. Would definitely recommend!

Good selection of food with a daily special which I had, a filo parcel with a daal filling which was delicious. I wasn't totally full after so I was tempted by dessert. 99% off the time I eat chocolate desserts so my bar is set high, but they didn't have one so I tried the peanut butter cake and it was gorgeous. One of my fave meals in a week in Porto/Aveiro.

Cosy restaurant with outdoor seating in a traditional alleyway. The patrons are super nice, taking games for the kid at the next table and offering books to read. The food is exceptional. I had the 5 bean chilli paired with a vegan rosé wine and it was delicious.
