Read moreThis is the only place in Mainz where you can get the amazing French artisan vegan cheese by Jay & Joy! Must-try, even if it's not cheap. Made from almonds, and very fine nuanced flavours, as you would expect from a high class French cheese.
They also have great vegan chocolate by Naturata and Zotter, which is hard to find elsewhere.

Not all that different from other organic stores in Mainz, but they do to have some nice offers that might be difficult to find elsewhere, such as Lord of Tofu or the regional tofu maker Sojafarm

Schöner Bio-Laden in der Neustadt. Die Auswahl ist ganz gut, die Preise ziemlich hoch. Ich würde mir auch Produkte aus der bio-veganen Landwirtschaft wünschen!

Great but expensive supermarket - Edit
This supermarket is a great project: Everything is organic, staff is paid fair wages and they are an inclusive place, i.e. also employ people with disabilities or those who have it harder to find a job elsewhere.
Read moreAll this is reflected in the prices, they are definitely the most expensive organic supermarket in Mainz. If you can afford to support them or if it is conveniently located for you, it's definitely worth to go here!

Gut erreichbarer Bioladen in Mainz :) - Edit
Nachdem ich wochenlang mangels Alternativen immer zu Alnatura in der City gefahren bin und dort brutale Parkplatzverhältnisse herrschen, habe ich endlich durch Zufall einen zwar nicht so umfangreich sortierten, aber preislich ähnlich gelagerten und auch gut sortierten Bioladen gefunden, wo eine entspanntere Parkplatzsituation herrscht. An den Bioladen vorne angeschlossen ist eine Bäckereitheke und ein kleines Café, wo es eine täglich wechselnde und vegetarische Tagessuppe (in zwei Portionsgrößen) für kleines Geld gibt. Im Laden selbst gibt es eine kleine Frisch-Gemüsetheke, einen gut sortierten Kühlwandbereich, also eigentlich habe ich noch nichts dort nicht bekommen. Doch, Bio-VK-Toastbrot, das war mal ausverkauft. Die Belegschaft ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Einfach mal hingehen und einen Testeinkauf machen. Das ist meine Empfehlung.
