Best vegan bahn mi in town! - Edit
Take out shop with the best vegan bahn mi in Chicago! Three different sandwiches, two spring roll options, cold noodle salads, vegan pho. Order your sandwiches and pho at the counter and look for spring rolls and noodle salads in the self-serve cold case. Great inexpensive, tasty, quick, to-go options.

Crunchy fresh delicious - Edit
I’ve been told that nhu lan has the best bahn mi in the city and I finally stopped by to test the veracity of that claim. It really is delicious! Lemongrass tofu was more like seitan than tofu, and it was a delicious meal for under 10 bucks. I’ll be back to try the other vegan options and some of the really yummy looking dessert options they have!

5 stars - Edit
I've only had the vegan bbq banh mi so far because I keep craving it but I really need to try their other option. Their bread is so soft and easy to eat. Normally, the fact that they don't put any sauce on the sandwich would be a knock but I don't think they put it on the meat versions either so that's equality! I just put on my own when I get home and it's utopia.

Homemade vegan options - Edit
Walking in the smell of the fresh baked bread is amazing. There’s some grab and go options with description of everything in the food item. There are some vegan sweets and spring rolls available there. There’s multiple vegan bahn mi options made to order and smoothies that use coconut milk. The lemongrass bahn mi was pretty good. Very flavorful tofu and not fried at all. A little dry, I’d add avocado next time. I’d recommend for something quick and authentic!

So tasty! - Edit
Wonderful banh mi with 4 vegan options to choose from, and really great vegan pho as well. They bake their own bread and I've heard they supply the baguettes to a lot of other Vietnamese restaurants in the city, so you know it's good! Worth a visit if you're in the area!

Check this place out! - Edit
Great prices and vegan options! I try to get their sandwiches whenever I'm in the area. They often are out of one of the 3 options, but my main go-to is the vegan lemongrass tofu without cilantro. The spring rolls are really good too

Very tasty broth and enough vegan protein added. Also, they were sweet enough to give me a spring roll for free😄

There R2 vegan sandwiches, both pretty good (but I like the lemongrass tofu the best). they also have a sweet rice & crushed almond topping dish that's really tasty. I really want to explore the other off-menu options

Great Vegan Sandwiches - Edit
Love, Love Love Nhu Lan. I don't know how they get the tofu to taste so good but they do! Try the Ginger or Lemongrass versions. Both are very tasty. Bread is fresh and the pickled daikon and jalepenos make it a delicious sandwich.
Read more2nd location on Sheridan & Lawrence just opened a few months ago and they're doing a great job too. There's also a 3rd location on Belmont in Lakeview but haven't been there yet.
