Authentic and lovely food

We visited twice as we love it so much that it was a must for when we are in Paris. Once in 2018 and again in 2023. The management has changed hands and so the lovely, friendly Tibetan woman who stole our hearts. The first time wasn't there, but the food and service were still excellent. I highly recommend trying this place as there is a Tibetan place next door that you might confuse this with!

Pros: Authentic Tibetan food, Lovely atmosphere, Simple options, reasonably priced

Cons: None!

A bit of Tibet om the menu

The menu was not very clear about veggie/vegan so we asked. There were a couple of options, dishes were similar to Indian, but not as spicy. Correct but not spectacular.

Pros: Nice spot

This restaurant IS NOT fully vegetarian anymore

Let’s start with the positive :
The food was served quickly, portions were enough, service was kind, price is ok, tiny restaurant well-located
Seems to be a family business
Many vegetarian dishes

For the negative :
The menu list is super exhaustive, and in my experience too much choices, is not a good thing
I honestly thought that the restaurant was offering only vegetarian dishes, what a disappointment when the waiter said they offered dishes with meat…
Waiters don’t speak really good French, so it could be a bit hard to understand what he means…
My friend ordered a dessert (non vegan) and the waiter came back with two of them because he thought that because we took the same main dish, I would for the dessert…
I wish if I could have know with vegetarian dish I could take as a vegan 🌱

So it wasn’t a bad bad experience, but I would not recommend this restaurant and I won’t come back even though they have many vegetarian dishes

Nice Tibetan restaurant

We had the “traditional meal” with soup (nice but small), momos (6, nice, served with noodles, pickles & beans) and tibetan tea (however not salty). All in all, nice restaurant but the portions look a bit small.

Pros: All-veg, Tibetan setting, Tibetan music

Cons: Tasty, but not huge portions

Average vegetarian place

It's nice that it's vegetarian but the food really isn't very tasty or anything exceptional. It also felt a bit cheap and unhealthy.

Pros: Vegan options

Cons: Not very tasty

My go-to spot

I eat here quite often. The place is vegetarian but with vegan options. I love their steamed dumplings. They also have a really tasty tempeh dish. Their vegetables are fresh and they always offer a great serving of protein with vegan meals, something non vegan restaurants fail to do at times. If you want something that won’t leave you heavy after finishing, this is definitely a great spot.

Cozy Tibetan place

Unfortunately, not fully vegan (some dairy specialities). And the vegan items are not clearly marked on the menu.
The food is delicious though.

Cons: A bit expensive, a bit slow.

good atmosphere, good food

Lovely little restaurant with only vegetarian dishes. Staff is very friendly. Price is Ok, but it would be great to have more choises on the menus (carte is fine, but only very little from it can be chosen in the 21€ menu)

Nice and special

This small Tibetan restaurant is cozy and welcoming. The waiter was friendly and spoke good English. The dishes were of medium size but tasty and special. The place is not strictly vegan, but they could easily recommend vegan dishes. Reasonably priced.

Pros: friendly staff, excellent food

Veggie Tibetan place on a street
lined with other Tibetan restaurants. Food was good, a huge portion of spicy noodles. The waitress was the nicest, sweetest waitress I've ever encountered, really friendly and welcoming.

Cozy and wonderful vegan options

I love momo and I was happy to find some good momo here. Although the restaurant is not vegan, it had a good vegan menu.
The food is light and delicious, which was perfect for someone like me who was looking for something more home made, and not overly salty and oily like many restaurants are.

We ordered spinach momo and legume momo (i love the mint sauce!) and curry. All very tasty!

The service was wonderful as well.

Can't wait to try this place again.

Pros: clean and cozy, delicious and healthy veg options, lovely service

Cons: not all vegan

Vegan-friendly Tibetan restaurant

Very friendly restaurant - happy to take time to show us which dishes were vegan and very patient given we arrived not long before they were due to close for the afternoon.
It was really peaceful and relaxed, pleasant atmosphere for a break from seeing the sights.
We hadn't had Tibetan food before so we tried the mixed starter platter and 2 very different mains. The starter platter had a good mixture of flavours and textures - fried dumplings, tofu in a sauce, crunchy cabbage salad and potato cakes with a yummy green sauce.
Also tried some Tibetan tea which came with a wooden bowl to drink from and went well with the food.
If you're a huge fan of steamed dumplings, the first main on the menu has 2 tiers of dumplings, a glass noodle salad and some sauce. It was pleasant but we both preferred the main (sorry, have forgotten the name) that has thinly-sliced veg protein, a salad, dahl and rice, nice and spicy, a generous portion and good variety within the dish.

Pros: 70% vegan , Knowledgeable about veganism and happy to explain , Nice atmosphere

Cons: Not huge portions

Good place for a light meal

I recently tried this place for the first time and have to agree with the other reviewers: the food is really good, the owner is friendly and accommodating, but the portions are super small. I'm someone who doesn't eat that much and usually can't finish both a starter and a main course (at the average restaurant), but at this place I was still hungry after both. So, I would recommend this restaurant for a light meal. Or you may want to pre-emptively order a side of rice or something along with your main dish.

The menu is made up of around 70% vegan items, but as these are not indicated, you need to ask the server which are which. The owner is very familiar with what veganism is, and was very happy to point out the vegan dishes. It would be nice, though, if they would print a new version of the menu with the differences clearly marked.

On a side note, the restaurant's interior (especially on the ground floor) is very charming. There are traditional motifs and Tibetan masks, and the Dalai Lama smiles upon you benevolently from a large black and white photo on the back wall.

Pros: good food, lots of vegan dishes, friendly staff, charming decor

Cons: small portions, vegan dishes not indicated on menu

Nice Tibetan restaurant with vegan options

This Tibetan restaurant turned vegetarian in 2015 and offers various vegan options, except for dessert. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the waitress tells you which dish is vegan. The place is cozy with Tibetan decors. I had vegetable fritters as a starter. They were really good with a beautiful coriander sauce. I also tried the soya chunks fritters but I was not impressed. My main course was Tibetan dumplings filled with spinach. They were good but the whole was not amazing. To sum up, the place is nice and food is usually good but I'm not sure to come back often. Portions are not huge but sufficient and prices are coherent with the central location. Give it a try but do not expect too much from the food (good but not amazing).

Pros: vegan options, friendly staff, cozy place

Cons: no vegan dessert, not huge portion

Excellent restaurant

This nice restaurant is just near our flat, it's 70% vegan according to the waitress (who's very lovely and gives great advice about the food). The music made me feel at home, very nice vibe, not too many people (at least this one time). The food is excellent, new and tasty and it's served very quickly... The mains cost between 11€ and 14€. The restaurant is just next to another tibetan restaurant, a lot bigger, which is a pro because people tend to go there so Pemathang says very cosy. We loved it and we'll be back !

Pros: excellent food, nice vibe and music, great waitress

Cons: restaurant prices
