Great Burgers and Wraps and very tasty drinks - Edit
Loved the ambiance of the restaurant, it felt very cozy. The staff speaks english and the food is soo tasty! We had the avocado burger and ceasar wrap, a coconut mango smoothie and the passion fruit kombucha drink. Everything was excellent! And the other plates they brought out looked very nice too. Unfortunately we discovered this gem on our last night in seoul, otherwise we would have come back to taste more options of the menu.

Plant never disappoints - Edit
Last time I visited was 5 years ago and I am glad my favorite bowl was still on the menu!
Read moreI love that now their cakes are not as sweet as it use to be. The lemon cake tho can have more layers and more lemon kick. But VERY happy with their menu!

A Seoul Classic - Edit
Plant is the first vegan restaurant I visited when I arrived in Seoul, and it has never disappointed me ever since. I've tried almost everything on the menu and a variety of cakes - everything they offer is very tasty with a good combination of flavors. It's also a good place to bring non-vegan friends.

Mediocre and heavy - Edit
I was a long term customer of PLANT (5 ) years so I wish I could still say I love and support them but the restaurant is not what it used to be.
Read moreEverything here feels really heavy, salty, and greasy. In the past the flavors and ingredients were balanced. The staff was much more warm and inviting. These days it feels like a completely different restaurant. Some staff members were really unfriendly.
I think its probably a great place to bring non-vegans. I feel like the menu really caters to them rather than vegans.
In the past I often ordered the Caesars salad, but its not longer available. Now it can only be ordered as a wrap filled with onion rings. Im not someone who only eats healthy and clean food, but it feels like theres not a single healthy and clean dish I can get here anymore. Loads of mayo aioli sauce, fried ingredients, huge bread rolls instead of multigrain slices. Even the coffee has declined in taste.
Also, the current chef seems breeds cats and was advertising that on Instagram as a sponsored ad.

Scrumptious Oasis - Edit
I guess I must have been to Plant Itaewon 30 times by now, and it is the reliable choice for vegan soul food. The cakes are out of this world, and I celebrated my last bday with a full plant cake and a quadrant of friends. My fave entrees are the lentil bowl, and hummus salad, but on occasion enjoy the plant cheeseburger, cream pasta, oh and let's not forget the tofu caesar wrap. The atmosphere, the smoothies! Every meal has been super satisfying and everyone I brought here enjoyed.

Worth to visit!! - Edit
First of all, it’s pet friendly , so we were happy to be with our mini poodle :).
Read moreThis place has many options, and generous portions, so we surprised. So comparing to portions, it’s reasonable.
And I’d like to say better to go for “the best👍” menus. We had mushroom burger and soba noodle bowl with extras, and added hummus. Burger and hummus are good, and extras Tempeh was soso good!! but the soba noodle with peanut sauce was quiet sweet and the noodle was over cooked😞. So we barely had 1/3 portion.
Staffs and ppl were kind😄worth to visit

the quintessential vegan restaurant in seoul - Edit
whether it’s a good thing or not, vegans and non vegans alike know this restaurant. i always say it’a hit or miss when you go there, and the portions are a bit small for the price in my opinion. but, they do have some tasty offerings. my go to is the soba bowl.
Read morethey have lots of different things on the menu and some of the best things i’ve had from there have been specials. the milkshake is the best i’ve ever had (and i don’t like milkshakes!) they do some seasonal or holiday things as well, like a thanksgiving plate or christmas cookies.
probably worth it to go at least once if you are in korea for a while.

One of two branches of Plant in Seoul, I’ve visited both and prefer the vibes of this one but they’re both great!

Good - Edit
It was my first time at Plant and with all the good reviews I excepted something sensational, and what I ordered was good (African peanut stew with mango smoothie) but not exceptional. The cafe in itself is really pretty and waiters are nice but I think the food is way overpriced. Given the price, I was waiting for something more (maybe I did not choose the best) but it still tastes really good and love all the vegan options 😊

I am being treated too good in this country - Edit
Dayuummmm! Plant Cafe just hits different in all the best ways. The environment is so beautiful and inviting with all of the plants (a rare thing beyond the cafe walls) and the DELICIOUS FOOD!!
Read moreI had a chocolate cake last night that was moist and fluffy and perfect. Today I came to visit for real and stayed for 6 hours taking classes, doing work, and eating such good food. I got the brownie, chai tea latte, African Stew (a new addition to the menu) and the Lentil and Bean Bowl.
The prices are relatively affordable with some more pricey dishes.
They also gave me some free oat milk to try 🥰
My friend calls this place her second home and it is well deserving of that title. I don’t want to leave!!
Everything was super flavorful and textures I never thought could be perfected. I WILL be coming again— there’s no doubt about that.
Pros: They have perfected their dishes and desserts , Beautiful and comfy environment , Friendly staff and WiFi!!
Cons: A more pricy restaurant for some items

Just the best :) - Edit
Can't believe I never reviewed Plant- it is one of my all time favorites and I have been a loyal regular for years now. It has such a wide selection of food and everything I've ever tried from there has been so good. The classic plant cheeseburger is definitely one of my favorite burgers ever. The wraps, salads and sandwiches are super fresh, filling and full of flavor. Baked goods are also excellent! Don't know that I've ever had a pie or cake that I wasn't crying over. Just so good. Love the pound cakes, cookies and those macaroons! Also the space is so nice to be in! So much greenery, spacious, lots of windows and light. Also the owner is so awesome. Just so many things to love about this place.

...hyped place in Itaewon - Edit
Plant is the ideal vegan cafe for those only seeking the generic American vegan cafe style. A varied menu and always have desserts. The rainbow tempeh wrap was my standard order here but it has been taken off menu. Too bad it always felt so fresh when eating. If new to Seoul then Plant is the reliable first stop... you will likely be back often if you want simple comfort food.
Read moreThe hype around this place is mainly built on the past when there were few other choices. Nowadays we are spoiled for choice in Seoul. The food here is just ok. The desserts so-so, really hit or miss. Service is a bit mechanical now.
It is a safe option, just that. They are open reliable hours and usually find something decent.

Great place for burgers - Edit
The restaurant is nice and they have delicious burgers! If you are looking for American style food I recommend this place. The portions are big (I'm not complaining on the contrary). All the staff speaks English and it feels like not being in Korea anymore (well the restaurant is located in Itaewon ;))
Read moreWe were there a second time to try out their cakes (also delicious and recommended). It is a bit expensive compared to other restaurants but still worth it.

Favourite vegan place in Korea! - Edit
This place was like my second home when I stayed in Seoul, pretty much tried everything on the menu!
Read moreI never actually stopped in Itaewon but Plant is very close to the subway station so it was always easily accessible and not too far away.
The restaurant was constantly busy which says alot and I did have to wait a few times for a table.. Not too long though and always worth the wait!
This place has a great vibe, always buzzing and super friendly staff!
The food is some of the best vegan food I've ever eaten anywhere in the world! Good mix of western and Asian foods. The cakes are to die for and they have great coffee as well.
I can't fault this place at all and since leaving Korea I believe they have opened another branch in Hongdae. Shame I didn't get chance to see it as I actually stayed there for a few weeks.
Hopefully I will return to Plant and Korea one day in the future!
