Vegan Sweet Potato Pao was Awesome - Edit
This restaurant is located in the center of Cebu City, so it’s very easy to access. It has a relaxed, very local atmosphere — not a high-end place, but it clearly focuses on healthy cooking. There’s no MSG, and the jars of homemade kombucha displayed at the entrance give it the feel of a specialty shop that cares about natural ingredients. About half of the menu is vegan-friendly.
Read moreI ordered the vegan sisig and a vegetable soup. Both the sisig and the stir-fried vegetables had a comforting, gentle flavor. Since they avoid things like excessive salt, MSG, and sugar, the dishes feel exceptionally healthy — something you could eat every day without worry. When I squeezed a bit of fresh lime over the sisig, it became even more delicious, so I definitely recommend trying it. The portion sizes aren’t very large, so they might be just right for lighter eaters or women.
The soup was similarly healthy, almost like a vegetable-packed vegan miso soup. It also included beans, so you can easily get some protein from it.
I also ordered the sweet potato pao (similar to a Chinese baozi, or an *anman* in Japan) as a dessert. It was completely handmade from scratch and had a rich, custard-like flavor — almost like a dense pudding. It seemed to contain little or no sugar, which made it an impressively healthy treat. Considering the amount of work that must go into making it, the price was surprisingly reasonable. It’s the kind of dessert I felt I could happily eat every day.
Although this isn’t a fully vegan restaurant, it’s one of the few places in Cebu that offers vegan options with a natural, gentle, and healthy flavor profile. I truly hope they continue for a long time. As a vegan traveler myself, I’d love to see them eventually become a fully dedicated vegan shop someday.

Best option I found in Cebu - Edit
Very convinient for vegans. Staff is well aware about veganism and the waitress guided me knowing my dietary requirements. Half of the me u is vegan (clear marking). I had 2 Filipino dishes and a lemongrass drink. But they also offer few western items.
