My favorite vegan spot in wmass - Edit
I go to Pulse often, i take all my non vegan friends here and they love it. I took my friend who’s allergic to gluten and she got the GF mac and cheese, she loved every bite and thanked me for showing her! i’ve shown about 6 non-vegan friends that Vegan alternatives are just as good as the OG! if not better! The atmosphere is gorgeous! The food is a little bit pricy but worth the money in my opinion.

Clean eating - Edit
My favorite place to work/grab lunch while I'm in the area. I often travel for work and end up eating out a lot and this is the perfect place for some clean eating. I love their food and any juice/smoothy. Although, I found the frozen smoothie bowl is a great idea, but just isn't quite practical. Only other critique... I'd love something for my caffeine fix (all drinks are caffeine-free).

Great food but not for the faint of budget - Edit
The food and smoothies here are AWESOME. Every item is made with care and the service is great. Just be prepared for the one dollar sign to be a bit misleading.

always missing something - Edit
The food is beautiful and it's wonderful to have another vegan spot with so many options, but the flavors are always slightly off to me, missing a tanginess or bite or just too sweet. I wouldn't judge so harshly for that if they weren't charging upscale prices and serving such small portions.
Read moreFYI, for religious reasons this restaurant does not use any black pepper or vinegar. There are also no drink items with caffeine for the same reason, which can be tough for brunch especially.
I like that they grow much of their own produce and do a lot of food educational work.
Pros: completely vegan menu, grocery store section has hard to find vegan items, pretty space with lots of light
Cons: expensive, food missing flavor

Just a heads up, every time we try to go here to try it out, it's not open. Especially for Sunday brunch. Might want to call ahead.

Heaven. - Edit
I have travelled far and wide in search of vegan food for many years. This restaurant takes the cake.....but not only do they have cake, they have EVERYTHING. Ambiance, food, fireplaces, and um....the food.....had Tofu Benedict in the morning and my mother got pumpkin pancakes. She took a calzone home for my father, and she got chick'en soup and apple knots. I too took home apple knots, as well as a cubano. They have a refrigerated section with multiple offerings, and it is very substantial. I used to travel to Wegman's in MA when shopping for indulgent vegan food, but no more! Now I can make an afternoon of both dining out and shopping for home. Excellent drinks and they have many items that do not need to be refrigerated (canned goods/snacks) and I am so happy to live within 3 hours of them!!

Quality casual vegan restaurant - Edit
What a gem! They have vegan pizza, calzone, sandwiches, wraps, salads, bowls, soups, desserts and more. It's a large stand-alone building with a big, open, high-ceiling interior. There's a casual vibe and you order at the counter. The menu is on large electronic boards, and also printed on paper menus. The choices are numerous, and everything is made from scratch. While we did not request modifications, I'm sure they could be accommodated for allergies, etc.
Read moreThey have both Impossible and Beyond burgers, as well as their own. My partner got the Beyond version and was very impressed with not just the burger, but the bun and the toppings. It was difficult to make my choice, but I got the Haystack bowl and a cup of lentil barley soup. The bowl had more corn chips than I wanted, but better too many than not enough. All ingredients were fresh, well prepared and presented. I could have eaten a bucket of that soup!
The restaurant is about 3 miles from Interstate 91. It is well worth a detour if you are in the area. I know I'll be back as often as I can, and I have plans to work my way through other sections of the menu.
UPDATE: My second trip did not disappoint. We met friends at Pulse for dinner. I had the lentil veg soup and cheese stake. The soup was excellent. The cheese steak was okay, but I probably won’t order it again as other options are tastier.
My spouse got the Greek salad pizza, which is essentially a salad dumped on pizza crust. It was delicious, and the fake feta was amazing. We asked if they carry it in the shop, but they make it in house and don’t sell it. Bummer.
Our friends got the Caesar salad and daily specials—a Tex-Mex burger and a Buffalo chicken(less) dish. They were pleased with those choices. The staff willingly made modifications for dietary restrictions. Photos are attached.
Pros: Varied menu, Modern, open environment, Quality ingredients and professional preparation

They have so many good choices from burgers to pizzas to a ceaser salad! I haven’t eaten something here I haven’t liked yet and their menu is so diverse anyone should be able to find something they like! They also have lots of options that can be gluten free which I personally appreciate! Can’t go wrong checking this place out!

You Should Stop Here And EAT!!! - Edit
This place is a gem! The food was great! The people working there were very nice.
Read moreWe ordered pizza with an organic crust and a few toppings that was absolutely delicious. We had a fantastic Caesar salad that was on point and garlic knots stuffed with melted cashew mozzarella chz! Drool!
The food is moderately priced and everything tasted great! You order from the counter and they bring the food out to you after it is prepared. There is a grocery section as well. The place was immaculately clean and eclectically designed. From the outside passing by, we saw the purple lights and commented on how cool the place looked. Later, when we went to eat, we figured out that this was the vegan restaurant!
Pros: Great food!, Very clean!, Eclectic design!
Cons: None that I could find!!

So so so good! - Edit
This place is so amazing! I love the food so much! They have great healthy choices as well as more comfort food type choices. All are totally delicious! My favorites include the nachos, tex-mex impossible burger, calzones, cheesesteak, cheesecake, and everything on the brunch menu. Something for everyone and a great place to wow your nonvegan friends by showing them just how good vegan food can be. Even my partner's vegan-skeptical mother loved it here!

Go to place when I’m in the area. The Piña Colada smoothie is so bomb. My favorite meals are the Mac & cheese, impossible burger, & French toast on brunch sundays. They also have desserts (carob cookie is my fave) & a grocery section (always have to grab the vegan pizza rolls). They never disappoint!!

Not one time have I gone here and been disappointed. The whole inside decor is amazing and I like that it’s an “order at the counter then sit down” type of place. It’s great that they have a grocery section too. Can always find something new to try out. Also, their desserts are amazing. The mixed berry cheesecake is hard to walk away from.

Amazing Vegan Dining - Edit
First time dining here and was so impressed by the food, decor, staff and overall experience. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for amazing vegan dining. The lentil mushroom soup was one of the best I’ve ever tasted. My girlfriend had an amazing Thai noodle bowl with peanut sauce and I enjoyed a “Chik’ calzone. So yummy and all so good. Excellent juices too. Dessert we both had the cheesecake and it was perfect. Plus we grabbed some vegan snacks for our hotel.

A delicious find! - Edit
I live about an hour and a half from Hadley and whenever I come out this way I eat at pulse! I stumbled upon it one day and I’m so glad I did! The Mac and cheese, Caesar salad with tofu, the haystack and the Hawaiian pizza are my favorites! The space is large and very open but still inviting. There’s a small grocery selection and they also have a juice bar!

Pulse is one of our favorite restaurants. We’ve gone numerous times and always enjoy our meal. They are all vegan and have an incredible menu with tons of interesting options for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. Their location is beautiful and immaculately clean. Within the building they have a small market, restaurant, and juice bar. They have rotating soups and desserts. All of the staff have been pleasant. Their prices are a bit high, but the portion sizes are great and the food is creative and tasty. Just keep in mind they are closed on Saturdays.

I've never seen such a big and beautiful building for a vegan cafe. The food covers a wide range. The soup we had was an Ethiopian red lentil. Giant bowl of soup for 6.50. Mushroom calzone was amazing. Chikn scharma was a unique opportunity. Wish we had one of these in Seattle.
