Buffet style restaurant with no menu. Dishes change frequently. 750lkr for rice and 5 curries.
Read moreWe had the dhal, potato, fried mushrooms, fried pumpkin and jackfruit. All good especially the mushrooms, jackfruit and pumpkin!
Got a few sweet treats which didn't blow us away to be honest. Not sure on what traditional Sri Lankan sweets are normally like but felt they weren't particularly special.
Definitely recommend the curries though!

Cold food/sea food smell? - Edit
Im sorry but i didn't have a good experience here. Food was served very cold and i dont know how long it sat before serving,stuff didnt really talk or explain anything to me ,and there was a very overpowering smell of sea food(crab or prawn??) inside that i just couldn't eat.

Amazing place. Friendly English speaking staff that will happily explain each dish for you. You will get to try a few different curries. Huge portion great value and the desserts are yummy too!

Got a smaller portion of rice with 6 curries. All the flavours were very unique and varied. The food tasted healthy and nourishing. We tried a couple of desserts but they weren’t really my cup of tea.

Delicious Vegan Curry - Edit
The food here was delicious - lovely to be able to sample traditional Sri Lanka food all vegan. The cafe/restaurant itself is fairly casual so if you're looking for ambience/high end dining this isn't the place but for lovely vegan food at a reasonable price you can't go wrong (rice with 5 curries, string hoppers and 3 drinks for £10).

Having read the reviews I knew I had to try this place. I ordered via Uber eats the mixed curry dish and watermelon. The price was very reasonable for the curry and a bit high for the watermelon. Unfortunately I was not impressed by the food, I have had better veg curry and rice in many other places around SL.

Great Local Cuisine - Edit
Has a large variety of curries and vegetables which are all prepared in the local authentic style. The taste is amazing. You can try all of them with rice and local snacks. The curries are all on display so you can see what you like and choose. The staff is really friendly and can help you choose if you're confused. Finally the price is also very fair and not marked up due to being vegan.

I was kind of overwhelmed with the options, so I just asked the staff if I could have a little bit of all their options with their red rice. Additionally, I took some of their sweets home to share with some friends.

Not for people who can’t eat spicy!! - Edit
I’ve been here together with my partner and we had rice with 5 different curries.

My girlfriend can’t eat spicy at all which we mentioned, at the end she couldn’t eat much as it was very spicy.
I found it tasty but agree it’s spicy we still felt in our belly the rest of the day.
I’m quite surprised no one else here mentioned except of two people.
However it’s vegan, gluten-free, organic for very low cost, so I guess worth a try.

I ordered delivery from Ranbath and was very pleased! I got the rice with curry (it's nice that they offer an option with less rice and more veggies!) and it was super yummy! There were six types of vegetables (they change the curries daily and post a list on their instagram stories-when you order, you can specify which ones you want!) Portion was not very big, but sufficient for me.

I also got a brown rice hopper filled with coconut for dessert, but it wasn't really my cup of tea. However, if you enjoy less sweet desserts, you might like it!

Really tasty (and cheap) food but it’s kinda a ‘point and eat’ situation. They have a series of rice and curries in bowls for you to pick from as much/many as you wish.
