BEST 'MEAT' EVER!

Small, basic family run restaurant in walking distance of the tourist area. Very friendly owner. We were given water immediately. Everything is vegan but labeled as chicken, pork, ... We ordered fried chicken and larb pork. Food was ready really quick and full of taste. The chicken was THE BEST 'MEAT' I'VE EVER HAD, truly amazing!!

Pros: Full vegan, delicious authentic food!!

Amazing food

All dishes contain soy meat substitutes and the menu is extensive with all the classic Asian style dishes. The sweet and sour 'chicke ' is especially good. A nice family run place with cheap prices.

Pros: Many options

Cons: None

Great experience

I recommend this place so much. People speak English, and the menu is in English too. The meals are delicious, especially if you like vegan meats, it’s the perfect place ! I tried crispy chicken and fried duck with peanut sauce and it was so delicious and tasty. The noodles were really good too.

Pros: 100% vegan, A lot of vegan meats, Cheap

Great papaya salad (but spicy!)

My boyfriend and I visited here a couple of days ago and had stir fried vegetables, papaya salad and Vietnamese noodle soup. We were given free water :)

The owner asked if we wanted our salad spicy and we went for it as we doubted if would live up to our expectations (normally we don't find things spicy!). The salad was really spicy and had so much flavour. We really enjoyed it! There was a good mix of veg in the stir fried veg dish and it was crunchy and delicious. The noodle soup was fairly basic and lacked veg but was still tasty.

Pros: Good value , Big portions , Friendly staff

Cons: No AC so boiling hot

Really enjoyed this place!

A little vegan corner tucked away in Vientiane...I thoroughly enjoyed my crispy duck and wontons. A great selection of local food😄

Lot of vegan options

We had the brown fired rice that was amazing, with more veggies then normally fried rice would have. Lots of flavor! The papaya salad was not the best, I had much better ones in SE Asia. The bean salad wasn’t good at all... both salads were too salty and too spicy.

Pros: If you like fake meat, this is the right place

Cons: Some dishes over salty , Overall not didn’t leave satisfied

Cheap fully vegan restaurant

Firstly I'd rate this restaurant at one dollar sign rather than two. You can get a bit bowl of soup for 15k or a salad for 10k. The food here was really yummy and was made to order.
The cucumber salad is delicious.
Lots of dishes with fake meat if you like that kind of thing

Pros: Loads of options , English menu , Cheap

100% vegan with lots of mock meat options

I'm not usually a fan of mock meats back at home, but have discovered some with great textures over here, and this place does them very well. We shared the volcano "duck", a crispy grilled "chicken" dish, and pineapple rice. All very nice, friendly staff, would recommend and give the crispy mock meat a go even if you don't normally like them, as it might surprise you!

We went a second time and tried a few more dishes, and everything was so tasty, upgraded from 4 to 5 stars!

Pros: Extensive vegan menu, Cheap, Tasty food

Quality “meat” dishes

Great vegan restaurant which specialises in alternative meat dishes. The Volcano Duck was my favourite in two visits bolstered up with some Morning Glory. We had dinner and lunch the next day and would have definitely gone again if time permitted.

Pros: Huge interesting menu, Very reasonable prices, Kind and funny family run atmosphere

Amazing menu

I had a peanut "duck" here and it was very good. Tasted almost the same as a real duck, but it was tofu 😉

Pros: A lot of choices, Good price, Tasty

Perfect place!

Inexpensive and tasty food for good portions!
Huge choice on menu. And if you don't like fake meat we will also find vegetable dishes.

Moreover, there is a small grocery inside with curry paste, sauces, a lot of soy proteins and some other stuff.

Not a huge fan

The restaurant itself is very quiet and quite sterile. Music could definitely liven up the space. I ordered the papaya salad and pad thai. Both were not as good as I hoped they would be. The salad was spicy but not flavored well and the pad thai had too much sauce and was too sweet.

Pros: Free water

Cons: Taste was not very good

100% vegan with a lot of mock meat

Love that it is 100% vegan, but for someone that doesn’t like mock meats, there aren’t too many options. ’Duck’ with peanut sauce is delicious.

Pros: Vegan

Cons: Mock meats

WOW - AMAZING

Went there 4 times in 2 days, didn't want to try any other place in town. Simple and delicious dishes - especially the Lao salad, chicken steak and pork in Teriaky. The owner is lovely as well.

Friendy, good vibe, good food

I ate here 3 times: "duck" with peanut sauce, fried rice noodles with black soy sauce and "chicken" with ginger and a side of fried bubble tofu. All tasty, all unique. The best part was the fried bubble tofu. I had no idea what to expect when ordering this but to my delight they reminded me of fried cheese curds! I lived in Milwaukee for a year and loved fried cheese curds (pre-vegan) and these tasted so similar. So for you Mid-Westerners missing your cheese, these are a must order!!
Mock meat is a bit chewy.

Pros: All vegan, Fried Bubble Tofu, Staff

Cons: A little oily, Small portions

Average meal but nice owner

I felt like this place was very random. The food was kinda average, I had the 'yellow fried noodle' and I didn't like it. I had to add a lot of chilli oil and flakes to make it have some flavour. Fake meats isn't really my thing, and there was a lot of it on the menu. So if you're into that, then it might suit you. Did have a nice chat with the owner though (I think he was the owner). He asked if I was vego and then I asked why he chose to open a vegan restaurant, he said that his family has always had jobs that killed pigs, chickens etc, and that he didn't want to do that, he has been vegetarian for 25 years.

Pros: Fully vegan menu , Nice friendly owner

Cons: Fake meats didn't appeal to me, Was super hot inside

GO HERE!!

Great vegan restaurant. Many options and all food a cheap price. (usually around 15k-25k) Portion sizes are large and filling!! Lots of mock meat options as well as vegetables options. Do lots of different types of fried rices, noodles, curries, and stir fries. I ate here 4 or 5 times in my short stay because I was always satisfied. The staff is nice and speak good English. Food is made fresh but is also made pretty fast.

Pros: Everything!, Lots of options, Delicious, cheap, clean, nice staff

Very good all vegan restaurant

Discovered this place on our last evening in Laos which was a shame. Would’ve come here several times! Ordered several dishes and everything was really great. Try the roasted chicken (appetizer): i’ve tried a lot of mock meats but this one comes the closest so far. Recommended!

A good vegan place!

Reunion Cafe offers a large menu of vegan mock-meat and salads. It is affordable, the staff is friendly and professional, and the place is pleasant. I had the fried 'duck' with peanut sauce, the fried tofu with basil leafs and grilled 'chicken'. Everything was very tasty and the 'chicken' was really incredible! I would definitely come back to try many other things.

Pros: 100% vegan, large menu, very good food, friendly and professional staff, affordable

The "chicken" ginger stir fry was incredible!

This little haven in the hustle and bustle of Vientiane was a w elcome relief to our search for vegan food in Laos. They offer a large amount of Asian style dishes and use soy based "meats". I had the "chicken" and ginger stir fry which was unlike anything I've ever had! My boyfriend had the Vietnamese sausage dish which also blew our minds! Fresh fruit smoothies are also available as the perfect thing to wash down a yummy vegan meal. The restaurant is low key and the ladies that work there are so nice! This was by far the best meal we had on our trip, and even had time to stop a second time during our layover in Vientiane!

Pros: lots of vegan options, cheap, friendly staff

Cons: none!
