Serves meat, vegan options available. A family owned Mexican grill with recipes inspired by Mexico City and Guerrero in Mexico. There’s a vegetarian and vegan section on the menu which includes vegan tlacoyo and mole enchiladas. The tofu chorizo taco dinner is vegan when choosing salad rather than rice. Note there are no vegan desserts and the rice has flavoring containing chicken. Menu states no lard is ever used. Open Tue-Fri 10:00am-9:00pm, Sat 10:00am-10:00pm, Sun 10:00am-8:00pm. Closed Tues.

I truly hate to leave bad reviews but the menu is very limited rice is made with chicken stock vegetable options super limited and our service was bad didn't even get our drinks till after our food arrived. We came here once before and it wasn't bad but this time it truly was bad....what a shame.

Amazing Place - Edit
Saw the place on happy cow and stopped by real quick. Amazing kind staff and accidentally made my dish with cheese and didn’t even bring it out and remade it because they’re very understanding about veganism. The food was very fresh and tasteful. Very pretty art work as well. Price is very reasonable. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

AMAZING vegan menu - Edit
Service amazing, local family place, owners Mexican family who make beautiful traditional Mexican food. Everyone I’ve taken there loves it. I wish I could give five stars. Homey and quaint. Highly highly recommend. Best Mexican food in Chicagoland.

Great experience - Edit
Loved the soup, tacos, tlacoyo, and tamarind drink. Vegan mole was not enjoyed on my first time ever trying mole. Amazing friendly service! They’re adding vegan options like hibiscus tacos as we speak and planning to move to a bigger location across the street this month. It’s a fun place to dine and I like looking at the artwork and music videos on the TV! Would love if they continue to expand vegan options perhaps making the vegan menudo available throughout the week, adding a homemade vegan cheese sauce to a new or existing dish, and of course offering vegan dessert! For example they might consider making all the churro batter vegan by default or partnering with some of the great vegan Mexican bakers/bakeries around town😄
