Delicious food, amazing stuff, with hipster vibes, Vegetarian and Vegan-friendly - Edit
I don't know why we have waited until the end of our trip to visit this place. Big mistake. This place is my most favorite place to eat! Finally, a place where we all (carnivores and vegans) could enjoy amazing food and great atmosphere.
Read moreWe got:
Blueberry pancake - my friend who loves pancakes and believe me, he ordered probably hundreds of them on different places, said that this pancake was the best from all he has ever had - fluffy, light, delicious. He probably dreams about this pancake until today.
He also got a Mexican breakfast plate with scrambled eggs and he loved it too.
Quiona & Eggs - my other friend, who took us to this place, got some of the specials this time. He is trying to go for healthier choices, and he didn't regret at all, he loved it.
I went for Vegan curry scramble with both quinoa and tofu - delicious, creamy, healthy, light. I truly wish we have you in NYC!
We also got some vegan baked sweetness, unfortunately i don't remember the name. But I still remember how delicious it was - especially with coffee.
Staff was very friendly, happy and helpful.
Indoor and outdoor seating (beautiful patio and if you get lucky, you can meet a cat, who likes to hang out there😄and WiFi are perfect for those with laptops.
We love this place and when we are back in NOLA, this is the first stop :-)
PS: Even the restroom is extraordinary :-)

Fantastic - super fresh! - Edit
Great menu. Lots of vegan and non-vegan options, so a good place to bring a small group with different eating preferences. The food was very fresh and tasty. The staff were superb! Great little breakfast/lunch spot!

Must-visit when in New Orleans! - Edit
Worth it for the walk alone, Satsuma is located in the quiet, residential Bywater neighborhood, a world away from the touristy bustle (and street hustle) of the French Quarter. Their staff was very friendly during my two visits. The casual decor inside is comfortable and inviting and they also have seating outside in pretty, plant-shaded courtyard. The food menu is extensive with some good vegan options. They also have a full coffee bar and fresh juices, something for everyone really. I chose the tofu and black bean breakfast and a Green Drink juice. The meal was flavourful and very filling, I almost couldn't finish it! Would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Love it! Cute cafe with incredible cookies! - Edit
Satsuma cafe has a friendly and creative buzz. There are delicious sandwich and salad options for vegans. We ate here a few times, and even walked all the way from the Garden District. It is a really cute, creative, and unique place. And the chocolate-coconut-almond cookies we had were out of this world!

Perfect place to read, relax, meet, and eat! - Edit
I love coming to Satsuma for a coffee or freshly-squeezed juice (their 'Immune Booster' is my personal fave!) The staff are always smiley and cheerful, and the tofu/blackbean scramble never fails to satisfy. They even have Earth Balance to spread on their yummy toast! Come check out Satsuma!

Great neighborhood spot - Edit
I felt like I'd been transported to trendy Bushwick or Williamsburg in NYC, which could be good or bad depending on one's perspective. The tofu scramble was delicious, full of black beans and tofu, to power my afternoon bike ride. Soy milk for coffee obviously no problem. Prices comparable to NYC also; for us on vacation no problem. But if I lived there on a New Orleans salary I might hesitate. Also, one or two more vegan choices would be great! I counted one vegan breakfast option, one salad, and one sandwich.

thumbs up - Edit
The large coffee comes in an oversized mug and was overly superdelicious -- must have been the agave sweetener, yum. They had a special of a vegan portobello and spinach sandwich with pesto. It was soooo green and savory, my first thought was to wonder how long the specials last so that maybe I could come back tomorrow and order it again! The service was very fast (maybe the specials are ready to go). It's a hip place with art on the walls and a laid back atmosphere. Oh, also the sign outside is neato: black with orange transparent letters that reflect as you walk by.

Yummy Veggie Sandwich - Edit
I have enjoyed their veggie sandwich, which comes with locally grown, in-season veggies such as eggplant and squash. I asked for the vegan pesto and vegan cheese and it was delicious, albeit expensive-around $8 or $9. It does come with a fresh, delicious side salad though and they usually have vegan soup. Plan on staying for a little while-service can be slow so be patient. Cool little cafe.
