Good food. Easy vegan option - Edit
You choose your own ingredients, they have several types of tofu.
Read moreWhen ordering they asked if I wanted normal broth or vegan broth.
When take out, they put the hot soup directly in a plastic bag, then in tupper, so not very food safe
Pros: Choose your ingredients , Easy to communicate
Cons: Plastic

Build Your Own! - Edit
Pick up a bowl and tongs and choose your own veggies, tofu (loads of options), and other sides.
Read moreWhen you get to the counter, you can choose to have it as a soup or stir fried. Just let them know you're vegetarian/vegan and they'll use a veggie broth.

Third branch visiting - Edit
This is definitely one of the best chain mala restaurants I've tried so far! The stir fried noodles were spicier than the soup noodles so we had to choose level 2(and it was still spicy). The owner is friendly so that was a plus ;)

Best vegan mala dry pot ever in Seoul - Edit
Apparently I was their first customer and I didn’t even know. I’m honored to be their first reviewer on Google as well. As a vegetarian or vegan even, you MUST come here!
Read moreI had been looking forward to their opening ever since I discovered this chain in Seoul and was super excited to find out that it’s relatively close to me. It’s located in the Gangnam area right next to the McDonald’s store. You’ll have to walk down the stairs of the REXION building to get to the basement level, which then you’ll find the restaurant on your left side.
If you’ve been to mala tang places, the process is quite straight forward. You pick your veggies, weigh it on a scale, and pay at the self ordering kiosk.
Usually these type of restaurants are non vegan friendly. This place caters to both meat and vegan customers.
As a vegetarian or vegan, this place is literally a paradise. You can get vegan mala tang (soup) or vegan mala xiangguo (dry pot — think of it like a spicy fragrant stir fry). There are also vegan side dishes like their crispy mushroom with sweet and sour sauce.
I’ve been here two times now and the veggies are just so fresh and clean. I’ve gotten their mala xiangguo (dry pot) two times and the crispy mushroom once. Combine that with rice (only add on 1K won) and wow, I’m sold. I’m literally in awe each time with their flavors and service. The owners of the shop are so kind as well and helped me order — the son speaks English by the way to all the foreigners and tourists out there!
I’m so happy that I found this place. I look forward to coming here again as much as possible!
