Authentic and delicious indian food - Edit
I always enjoy eating at the Star of India. The place is cosy, the staff super friendly and the food is really delicious. The dishes are not clearly labeled as vegan (at least not on the menu at the restaurant, on their website it is labeled), but the owner knows the difference between vegan and vegetarian and is happy to explain which dishes are vegan or can be veganized. (The specific dishes are written above in the description)

Great food & service in beautiful setting - Edit
I´ve eaten out at Star of India´s several times, mainly in a group. Once we even booked the complete restaurant with about 40 guests all eating vegan or vegetarian dishes! They actually managed to serve the food (almost) simultaneously, even to so big a group! Back then, the yogurt-based curry sauces could spontaneously be replaced by tomato-based curry sauces. Ever since our "taking over the restaurant episode," the curry sauce has been vegan, which was actually the owner´s idea. Speaking of which: The owner is from India and is more than happy to explain the vegan and vegetarian options to everyone. The dishes are served in beautiful little saucepans kept warm on stoves. The restaurant is decorated with authentic Indian items which give you a homey and exotic feel. Just remember to book your table in advance since the restaurant is only open in the evenings and rather popular.
Read morePros: Tasty authentic food, Friendly and efficient service, Situated in the city centre (Nauwieser Viertel)
Cons: Reservation recommended since often busy, Slightly expensive, Not completely vegan or at least vegetarian
