Not suitable for vegans - Edit
They clearly don't like vegans. We mentioned in a nice way that we are vegans but still they served cow milk with the coffee and added animal based aioli to the Beyond burger. As anyone knows, the Beyond burger is vegan, we mentioned this in a nice way to help them, if the burger is 100% vegan it would be normal to add vegan mayonaise for example.
Read moreBut clearly they were not amused by this remark and reacted quite agitated. So we only ate the salad plus French fries. Without blinking they added the burger itself on the invoice, almost with a smile. Maybe we got the wrong waitress but I guess it would be normal to train your staff in the case you have a vegan customer. A lot or them still don't know the difference between vegetarian and vegan for example so you have to check and ask everything (which they clearly don't like, they see you as a whiner). Next to this the vegan menu consists of "removing for example the cheese on the veggie pizza type dishes". Wish is also strange because we have a lot of vegan cheese options in The Netherlands. We really recommend other locations on Ameland like the Harbour for example, much friendlier staff plus 100% vegan options.

Aardig personeel en leuke buiten zitting, binnen was helaas vol. In drukke periodes is het aan te raden vooraf te reserveren

Expensive small Burrito - Edit
Unfortunately there was just a small number of vegetarian options that could be made vegan. I ordered the burrito that was made without cheese and cream. It came with a small salat and guacamole. The burrito was tasty but tiny and expensive - I payed 24€ for it...

A few vegan options including a vegetarian burrito that could be made vegan (mentioned on the menu). Taste was great. When very hungry, better opt for the pizza though.
Read moreNo vegan desserts listed, but when asked they could offer coconut sorbet ice cream. I had it with the grilled peach and it was nice. Quite expensive for the amount though (small scoop of ice cream, half a peach, whipped cream was simply omitted). Wish they’d make the brownie vegan, looked delicious at my company’s plate!
Seating was nice, serving excellent and friendly (esp about vegan options).

Je kunt hier gek genoeg geen plantaardige melk in je koffie krijgen, maar ik heb er wel een heerlijke vegan dagsoep (pompoensoep) gegeten die ik zelf thuis niet zo lekker zou kunnen maken.

The pizza was nice! Even without cheese. (Not really sure what is not vegan about the beyond meat burger. Maybe the bread, but might be possible to have that one made vegan)
