Its called Neéko Street Food now and has no vegan options. Still has the ‚vegan chickn Wrap‘ on the menu but its NOT vegan and they don’t even have the ‚meat‘ option available.

This place used to be a "vegan junk food bar", but not anymore. Apparently they realized that veganism is not as trendy and hipsterish as they imagined, so they started serving meat. From an all vegan place, they now have barely any vegan options left. Huge disappointment.

If you are hungry for some loaded fries- this is the place to be! Everything else- you can find better at all-vegan places!

Don’t get me wrong, their food is delicious and I like their style, but there’s just so incredibly much untapped potential here.
Prices are quite expensive, which is understandable since Bulgaria is still about a decade behind western Europe in terms of accessibility to vegan replacement, but unfortunately the portions are simply a bit too small for those prices.
Staff are really lovely though and you don’t have to wait long for your food.
I also like that it’s quite small and the decor is also quite stylish👍🏼
EDIT after introducing meat to their menu:
As with a lot of businesses where the owners aren’t vegan themselves, it didn’t take long for them to “branch out” and offer non vegan things under the guise of “inclusivity”.
I’m disappointed by this move and while I do appreciate that they still offer a vegan selection, it is now just another takeaway whereas before it did have a USP.

One of the best vegan places in Sofia - Edit
Excellent junk food style place. They have a number of burgers, a kebab, nuggets and other items. Very nice staff, who spoke excellent English. Menu behind the counter on the screens can be switched to English (if it shows initially as Bulgarian).

Although a junk food place, Neeko has more of a restaurant feel than other junk food places in Sofia. They use real plates (rather than cardboard/boxes) and have real cutlery. Lots of seating.

Underwhelming is the best description I can muster for my meal here. I ordered the cheeseburger and the mozzarella sticks, both of which were distinctly average. This was even more jarring considering the price of the latter. I had such high hopes for this place, I wouldn’t hurry to return.

Stylish restaurant, pretty good food - Edit
Worth a visit but there are better places for vegan junk food in Sofia. The restaurant is small but very stylish with a big open front onto the street in warm weather. Very pretty and a nice place to eat. Food was good although not exceptional. Fairly expensive for Sofia but still seemed fair. Overall, kind of average but not bad in any way. Worth a visit if you're here.

I definitely love to support this kind of restaurant, however I was not fully convinced of the food.

The burger bun was pretty dry and the chicken was only 4 simple nuggets. There was only a little iceberg salad, cucumber and mayo added.
I was expecting some kind of filet.
The fries were ok, but not really crispy.
In total I only had an average experience. Anyhow, I will come back during my next visit in Sofia. People sitting next to me were very happy with their salad and loaded fries, so I need to try next time

I went to the restaurant 3 times while on my trip in Sofia. The burgers are to die for, specially the Missoni burger. I also had fries which were freshly made and awesome rosemary vegan mayonnaise. I definitely recommend to try these ones. Ive had most of the menu, everything is delicious and tasty. Definitely one of the best in Bulgaria, if not the best in vegan cuisine.

I have lived in Berlin for many years. And here are some amazing places to eat vegan dishes. Neeko’s place is one of the best places i have had vegan burgers and taste was out of this world. Definitely worth a try if you are a Vegan or just in general it has to be tried.

Read moreI had many items off the menu during my several visits, and I enjoyed everything. It was really good quality food, and depending what you get, it's great value. For example the cold Italian sandwich with French Fries totals at 13.29 lev and is a decent-sized meal. Prices are clearly labelled on the menu.

Junk food for real. Nestlé and soya and it is pretty expensive for what it is. At least they could add some more salads in the menu. You can find much more better vegan burgers on better price. The only good thing is that it's fully vegan.

Considering the shortage of vegan junk food in Sofia, this place is like an oasis for those of us who like to indulge their craving for a big juicy burger. I tried a few items from their menu already and the Neeko burger is my favorite so far. The loaded fries with pulled mushrooms are to die for!

Staff is very friendly and nice, the place is cozy and minimalistic, but God is the food amazing! I've eaten there several times already and tried most of the menu. Everything is tasty and super healthy (for your soul). I love that they focus on junk food, healthy vegan places can be found all over Sofia, but this is perfect when you need a nice greasy fat burger and crispy fries drowned in every sauce under the rainbow. I could literally eat here every day 😭❤️
